Meghan Markle capped an extravagant five-night trip to New York City by boarding a luxury private jet bound for the UK, hours after attending a lavish baby shower thrown for her by her closest friends in a $75,000-a-night penthouse.

The Duchess of Sussex, who is currently seven months pregnant, was spotted boarding the private plane an hour after she made her exit from swanky Upper East Side Mark Hotel, which also served as the venue of her star-studded baby shower, as reported by the Daily Mail.

Meghan's commute back to the UK was by one of the most luxurious modes of transportation: a Gulfstream G450 twin-jet plane, which is estimated to have cost a staggering $125,000 for the six-hour journey between London and the Big Apple.

Kensington Palace revealed on Monday that the Duchess' trip to the US was privately funded because it was a personal getaway, and not a royal engagement.

Multiple sources have also reported that the pregnant Duchess used the same mode of transportation while arriving at NYC over the weekend. The Duchess' expensive ride back to the UK boasts of a 16-passenger capacity, a shower, a three-person divan, and a full galley with a convection oven if passengers require an in-flight meal.

The 37-year-old royal, who was dressed comfortably for her flight, was seen wearing a pair of black leggings, a black zip-up sports top, a black cap, and a chic tan overcoat, as well as a pair of Adidas sneakers. The cap, which had the words 'Rectify' on them, is believed to be a gift from her friend Abigail Spencer, since 'Rectify' was the name of a SundanceTV series that Abigail starred in between 2013 and 2016.

The baby shower for Meghan's upcoming royal baby was thrown by her friends Serena Williams and Amal Clooney, and had some of the Duchess' closest friends in attendance, like her stylist BFF Jessica Mulroney, 'CBS This Morning' anchor Gayle King, makeup artist Daniel Martin, as well as newly engaged Misha Nonoo.

And the Duchess seemed to receive quite a number of gifts from her high profile friends, since her hotel room saw multiple deliveries like a $140 mandarin tree, a $379 travel crib, a children's bicycle believed to be worth around $610, and a batch of 17 $225 Away carry-on suitcases presented to her by the brand as a congratulatory present.

Meanwhile, it is not yet known whether Meghan paid for the flight herself, or if it was on loan from some of her and Prince Harry's many A-list pals. Prince Harry himself does not have an aversion to using a private plane, for he chartered himself a jet to return home from Norway on February 14 to spend his first Valentine's Day as a married man with his pregnant wife.
