Prince William thought Harry and Meghan's relationship was 'moving too quickly', claims royal insider Lady Colin Campbell
According to royal insider Lady Colin Campbell, the Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle has completely 'changed' the Duke of Sussex Prince Harry ever since the couple got married in May last year.
In a new documentary which has been titled 'Kate V Meghan: Princesses At War', Lady Colin Campbell revealed that Prince Harry is 'beguiled' by his new wife. The Channel 5 documentary aired on Sunday night and featured Lady Colin — a confidante of Princess Diana — sharing her thoughts on the Royal Fab Four, according to Daily Mail.
Lady Colin has so far published three books about the royal family. The documentary also claims that, even though Harry is happier since marrying Meghan, the relationship between him and Prince William is a lot more strained.
With rumors of a fallout between Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton finally subsiding, the documentary claims that the entire rift was actually between Prince William and Prince Harry ever since William allegedly questioned Harry's choice of bride.
On the show, Lady Colin shared, "Everything I hear is that Harry is completely beguiled by Meghan and completely enthralled to her and has changed considerably." She also shared that Harry seems to have changed for the better and said, "People do change when they get married."
According to royal author Katie Nicholl, Harry was quite displeased with his older brother William after he reportedly questioned Harry over his relationship going too fast. The commentator shared that the relationship between the brothers has not been the same since the argument. "They will joke about who hasn't done the washing up, or William will have a go at Harry for eating him out of house and home, but actually a rift over his choice of bride is far more serious," Katie shared.
"William was quite concerned that the relationship had moved so quickly and, being close to Harry, probably the only person close enough to say to Harry 'This seems to be moving quickly, are you sure?'" she continued. "And I think what was meant as well intended brotherly advice just riled Harry. Harry is hugely protective of Meghan, he saw that as criticism, he interpreted that as his brother not really being behind this marriage and I don't think things have been quite right ever since," she added.
However, royal insiders maintain that there has been no rift or falling out between the Cambridge family and Sussex family but did admit that the pairs are 'very different people'.
As reported by Daily Mail, a source shared, "While there are some tensions behind the scenes, Kate is pretty unflappable and nothing has become bad enough to make Harry and Meghan want to move out. People are genuinely pleased to see them so happy. The truth is that there simply isn't enough room at Kensington Palace for them and I know they have been looking at Windsor as a possibility since before the wedding."
