Kate Middleton did not invite Harry and Meghan to her intimate 37th birthday lunch amid simmering tension: Report
Recently on January 9, Kate Middleton turned 37-years-old. In order to celebrate her birthday, the couple apparently had a low-key celebration with friends and family at Anmer Hall, William's Norfolk countryside pile. According to Daily Mail, everyone was there, except for two people. The two people missing were Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The website reports that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were missing from the celebratory lunch. And this just intensifies the rumors of rift between the two royal couples.
It was earlier reported that the pair had decided to put the past behind them when they were seen at Sandringham’s St Mary Magdalene Church during the Christmas Day mass. The four had been seen warmly smiling and talking to each other. But now the news of Harry and Markle missing the lunch just reveals that the rift is not completely healed. Though Harry and Markle were missing, Kate was joined by some of her other close friends during her lunch.
The guest list included Emilia Jardine-Paterson, the godmother of Prince George, her husband David and Laura Meade, who happens to be their Norfolk neighbor and the godmother of Princess Charlotte. The other couple who joined the Royals in the celebration was Sophie Carter and her husband Robert from Norfolk. Sophie and Kate have been close for many years now.
Rumors of the rift have been doing round for quite some time now. Markle and Harry are keen on welcoming their baby in much quieter surroundings and so had announced that they would be moving out of the Kensington Palace to Frogmore Cottage in Windsor. Later, reports also emerged of the two brothers sharing a strained relationship, this was followed by reports that Kate and Markle do not really get along and have had arguments as well.
Though the rumors of the clash between Kate and Markle seemed to have arisen lately, it is actually rumored to have taken place during the royal couple's wedding in May. Where it was reported that Kate was in tears during Princess Charlotte's dress rehearsal session with Markle.
The clashes continued when Kate went and spoke to the Duchess of Sussex about her being harsh to Kate's staff. Kensington Palace, on the other hand, refused to reveal if these rumors were true or not and just said that the tiff between Kate and Markle did not happen.
Recently in an interview with Express Sheela Mackintosh-Stewart, who happens to be a divorce lawyer and a family consultant revealed that it doesn't matter whether the rumors are true or not, the tension between in-laws is a common thing. And is more commonly seen in the relationship of Meghan and Middleton because of their different backgrounds and the way they were brought up.
