Harry and Meghan are trying to create an alternative 'woke royal family,' says royal expert Angela Levin
LONDON, UK: Prince Harry and Meghan are trying to create an "alternative woke royal family," royal biographer Angela Levin claimed recently. Levin has authored a number of biographies about senior members of the Royal Family. She said that Meghan Markle feels "enormous bitterness that she wasn’t able to modernize the firm."
In an interview to Femail, she claimed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex "are very determined to show that their way is the best way." The statement from the royal commentator came after the couple announced their return to the UK to attend a charity event this September. A spokesperson for the Sussexes announced that the couple would also be heading to Germany for an event to commemorate a year until the Invictus Games in Dusseldorf.

"I've thought for a long time that Harry and Meghan are trying to create an alternative woke royal family, the grandeur and the pomp and circumstance that surrounds them," Levin said, adding, "... When they went to America, when they went to the United Nations, and not just as somebody who's interested and curious and one of us but with good credentials. They are people who are very determined to show that their way is the best way."
"And I think Meghan, who doesn't like losing, she likes to win, feels enormous bitterness and resentment towards the Royal Family for not letting her modernize the Royal Family," she added.
She said that Prince William would want to avoid his brother Harry until he's had a chance to read his younger brother's memoir. "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are extremely busy at the moment," said the royal author. "They're moving home, need to settle their children into new schools. They're very busy taking on so many more engagements for the Queen. And I don't know whether William would like to make amends with Harry. I think it's very difficult and certainly not before his memoir comes out because we don't know what he's going to say," she added.
Earlier, Levin said that the rift between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge was very deep, which hints that the reunion of the couples in the UK "probably won't happen."
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will travel to Manchester on September 5, to attend the One Young World Summit. This is the first time the couple will be in the UK since the Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June when they kept a low profile. During their visit in April, they met Prince Charles and the Queen on their way to the Netherlands.
