Meghan Markle flaunts slender frame in red, figure-hugging leather pencil skirt at Windsor Castle event

It is not every day that European Royals are seen wearing the same outfit, Meghan Markle and Queen Letizia of Spain had a "who wore it better" moment on October 25.
A day after the Spanish Queen was seen wearing a $473 Hugo Boss red leather pencil skirt in South Korea, the Duchess of Sussex, 38, was seen donning the same apparel for her round-table discussion on gender equality at Windsor Castle. After wearing more loose-fitting and flowy dresses and gowns during the recent royal tour of Africa, with the skirt, Meghan returned to her more "go-to" figure-hugging ensembles that she often relied on for her royal engagements.

Another departure from her traditional fashion statements was to not repeat any part of her outfit as the pencil skirt, which she paired with a plum V-neck jumper, were both new additions to her wardrobe. With her top tucked it in at the waist, the mother-of-one displayed her slender frame at the Queen's Commonwealth Trust and One Young World event which she attended alongside her husband Prince Harry, 35.

She completed the look with a pair of magenta court shoes and a dainty gold bracelet. Her brunette hair was styled in a high bun.
Queen Letizia, on the other hand, had chosen to wear the leather skirt with pointelle-trimmed, high neck, white top, with mesh cut out's on the sleeves. She accessorized her look with matching teardrop earrings and left her hair open.

"It's not the first time the two have been seen sporting very similar, if not the same, outfits", Anthony McGrath, celebrity stylist and lecturer at the Fashion Retail Academy in London, told Daily Mail. "Queen Letizia wore it slightly differently as she matched her heels with the skirt rather than her top and opted for a white blouse with voluminous sleeves instead."
He also pointed out how Meghan was returning to more form-fitting dresses post-pregnancy. "Since giving birth, we have seen Meghan sport more relaxed looks and outfits that are less figure-hugging. However, this morning, she changed things up", he said. "She returned to one of her go-to-looks – a pencil skirt coupled with a knit or a shirt."
On her recent look, he added: "While pencil skirts may seem very 'royal-like', Meghan put her own spin on the look and gave the classic 9-to-5 skirt an update by opting for an edgy leather number - proving that pencil skirts are anything but boring. Not surprisingly, she pulled off the tonal-blocking trend perfectly. The berry shade is very autumnal, making it perfect for this time of the year and goes very well with her olive complexion."
