Meghan Markle's best friend Jessica Mulroney calls out 'racist bullies' for attacking her for flying on private jets
Meghan Markle's friend Jessica Mulroney has made a rare public comment about her close friend, defending the mother of one after "years of relentless" hate.
Actress Jameela Jamil shared a series oftweets where she showed her support of Meghan and Prince Harry given recent criticism over the use of their private jet.
Many people have said that the couple's concern over environmental issues is hypocritical given that they frequently travel via private jet. After Jamil shared her messages of support, Mulroney reposted them on her Instagram handle.
Mulroney, 39, also added her own thoughts regarding the "unfair" situation and called out "racist bullies" who had attacked her friend.
In a series of tweets, Jamil had slammed the British people and press of being racist and claimed that they were only doing this to Meghan as she is black and has married into the royal family. She further added how the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have to travel by private jet for their safety and also for the safety of their child and other citizens. Jamil shared, "Ugh. Dear England and English press, just say you hate her because she’s black, and him for marrying a black woman and be done with it Goddammit. our bullying is so embarrassing and obvious. You’ve all lost your marbles. It’s 2019. Grow up."
She continued saying that it is not safe for citizens to be on the same planes as royals or presidents given that they are prime targets "for kidnap and sometimes assassination. It’s in the interest of us civilians to not be endangered by proximity to people in such powerful positions."
A couple of hours after Jamil had shared her thoughts, Mulroney re-posted Jamil's initial tweet on her Instagram stories. Mulroney said that the criticism was very unfair before adding, "Shame on you, you racist bullies."
In a caption which has now been deleted, she had written, "I never speak but this is now 3 years of relentless and undeserved hate and abuse." She also responded to a user who argued that Meghan was being bullied but it was not racism.
Mulroney replied to the user saying, "It’s not just about this particular incident."
