The Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle left for Canada to be with her baby son, Archie who had been left with a nanny as her husband Prince Harry stayed back in the UK to deal with the backlash over their 'abdication' crisis.

Meghan returned to North America and is likely to be there for the near future. According to a report in Daily Mail, she had not intended on remaining in the UK for long after arriving in Britain on Monday, January 6, post her and Harry's six-week break in Canada. Meghan spent only three days in Britain before taking off again.

The mother of one's return to Canada comes as the Queen, Prince Charles, and Prince William asked the staff to come with a workable solution as Prince Harry and Meghan had announced that they would be stepping back from being senior royals. The royal family is reportedly very "hurt" by the couple's bombshell announcement.

Insiders had shared that Harry, 35, and Meghan, 38, would possibly be allowed to keep their royal titles and would also enjoy a fraction of the independence they are so desperately craving. However, they also shared that the demands made by the new parents had sparked a genuine crisis which will be extremely difficult to solve.

As a sign of how serious and chaotic the situation has got, Home Secretary Priti Patel has been asked to intervene and take part in the negotiations. She will be given the task of ensuring that the couple's ongoing security is not compromised while monitoring the cost to taxpayers if they split their lives between the UK and North America.

We had previously reported that Harry and Meghan took to Instagram to announce their decision to "step back" as senior members of the royal family. The post shared that the couple plan to "work to become financially independent by starting to carve out a progressive new role within this institution."
