Meghan Markle seen volunteering at charity in rare, unseen photo from her time as Rachel Zane on 'Suits'
A previously unseen photo of Meghan Markle was shared by a Toronto based community center from the time she volunteered with them while working on 'Suits'.
The Toronto-based charity—St. Felix Center—was selected by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as one of the 12 charities they would highlight in December in an effort to recognize those helping "the lonely, hungry, and homeless."
The charity posted a rare and unseen picture of the Duchess of Sussex on Saturday, December 8 from the time she was working at the center with them.
According to the group, Meghan once brought food from the set of the legal drama to feed over 100 people on Thanksgiving. Meghan is seen in the photo standing in the shelter's kitchen alongside a group of volunteers. The former actress is seen wearing a cap, a padded jacket, and a striped shirt.
"We feel very grateful and honored to have been highlighted by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan Markle, as one of 12 charities doing important work worldwide," the charity wrote in the caption.
"This photo has Meghan volunteering in our kitchen. Meghan was an active supporter and volunteer of St. Felix Centre during her time living in the city while working on Suits."
"She volunteered on a regular basis in our kitchen as part of our Community Meals Program," they continued. "The Duchess also donated food from the set of 'Suits', and on one Thanksgiving, she brought in all the food, turkeys and the fixings for over 100 people."
Meghan and Harry took to Instagram last week to share photos from charitable accounts inspired by the 'Twelve Days of Christmas' as they urged their followers to reflect on the "lonely, hungry, and homeless."
The Duchess of Sussex was living in Canada while working as Rachel Zane on 'Suits' when she volunteered at the St. Felix Centre, handing them leftover food from the sets and helping out at the soup kitchen.
Nicknaming her "the lovely Meghan," the charity revealed on Twitter that many people have fond memories of the royal.
According to their website, St. Felix Centre offers programs and services for marginalized members of the community.
