Post Megxit, ordinary is bliss for Meghan as she is seen picking up friend from airport in a Land Rover
'Megxit' has given Meghan Markle the freedom from the otherwise restrained Buckingham life and she made full use of it by driving herself to the airport to pick up a pilates expert from the United States, reportedly her friend.
As her husband was fulfilling what experts are calling Prince Harry's last possible royal engagement - front lining the draw for the Rugby League World Cup at Buckingham Palace on Thursday, January 16 - the Duchess of Sussex was seen outside Victoria International Airport in a Land Rover Discovery, scooping friends.
Photos obtained by the Daily Mail showed Meghan in deep conversation with a man in the front seat, believed to be her personal security, for about 10 minutes until her friend Heather Dorak arrived. Dorak flew in from San Antonio, Texas.
Dorak runs the 'Pilates Platinum' brand in Los Angeles and Meghan became a member of the same when she starred in 'Suits.' The duchess and the pilates guru became quite close and the latter also ended up attending the royal wedding in May 2018 with her husband Matt Cohen. Incidentally, the pair also became pregnant around the same time.
However, neither Archie - Meghan and Harry's infant son - nor Dorak's child was present for the reunion of the duo outside the airport. The pilates expert will spend the weekend with the Duchess. Even though, it was unclear if she planned to stay at the same house as Meghan.
For the occasion, the mother-of-one kept it casual donning a black beanie, over-sized sunglasses and fur-lined black parka. She mostly kept the shades on during the outing to block out the afternoon sun.
She saw her friend approaching the car with a suitcase and tote bag, a wide grin spread across Meghan's face. Dorak slipped into the backseat of the vehicle before reaching over to hug the royal in the driver's seat. It was unclear where the duo was headed to after they left the airport.
