LOUIS, MISSOURI: Meghan King said earlier this year that she will no longer post photos of her children on social media. But when her fans expressed concern about her ex-husband, Jim Edmonds, continuing to do so, she finally spoke up.

Before their marriage ended in 2019, Meghan and Jim faced cheating allegations, fertility issues, and Bravo cameras. The 'The Real Housewives of Orange County' pair married in 2014. Meghan, who is 14 years Jim's junior, joined the cast of 'RHOC' shortly after their wedding. Fans witnessed the twosome go through IVF to have their daughter, Aspen and frequently saw Jim pleading with Meghan to keep him out of the other women's problems. Meghan quit 'RHOC' after three seasons after learning she was pregnant with twins, but the turmoil continued for the pair. In June 2019, the former St Louis Cardinals player was accused of cheating on his wife. The sportsman reportedly sent images of his penis to another lady and a video of himself masturbating on the same day Mehan gave birth to their twins, Hayes and Hart, according to the charges, which Jim disputed. Four months later, Meghan and Jim announced their divorce after five years of marriage. She accused him of "having an affair" with their 22-year-old nanny, which he denied.

Why doesn't Meghan King show her children’s faces on Instagram?

Meghan has decided to stop posting pictures of her children on social media. Meghan revealed her decision to cover her children's faces from images on Instagram when sharing photos from her New Year's trip with her 4-year-old twin twins and 5-year-old daughter.

"For 2023: I'm staying focused. No more showing my kids' faces," she captioned the Instagram carousel. "No more filters, ever. Boundaries, grassroots efforts, femininity, deleting and blocking ass----- who troll my page: my promises to myself and to you this year."

Meghan reminisced, pointing to a link to a blog post on her website where she explained, "This year my personal life was ravaged with more of the same. The family court system is broken as hell, and 2022 was another glaring reminder. But in 2023 things will change."

"My children's images were used against me as an intimidation tactic recently. The thought of using the images of my innocent children to attempt hurt their mother is… I don't know if there's a word to describe the depth of the disgust that incites inside me," the 'RHOC' alum added. "But I am lucky here, I have complete legal control over the use of their images, and I'm putting an end to that."

Meghan also stated that as her children get older, she wants to respect their wishes as "individuals."

"When they were babies they felt like another appendage of mine, but now they feel unique, and I love watching them spread their wings," the mother of three explained. "One likes the limelight, one hates the limelight, and one doesn't know what to think. But they're just kids, and they don't really understand what notoriety means, so I am going to insulate them from it until they are old enough to be slowly ushered back in if they so choose."

Meghan King says Jim Edmonds doesn't respect her

The concept behind the reel was, "If people spoke to me in real life the way they do on social media." In the reel, she imitates a frustrated fan saying, "I wanna see your kids' faces. You used to show your kids, so why don't you show them anymore?" She gracefully responds to that comment by saying, "I've told you, I've explained this all in my blog."

Like most fans, maybe the decision to not show her kids' faces seems far-fetched to her ex. In the comments, a fan asked Meghan, "But how do you feel about your ex showing the kids? Is there anything you can do to prevent him from doing so? Defeats you not showing them."

Meghan took out her time to respond as she writes, "No, he doesn’t respect me. He’s in contempt as I have full legal say over this in our divorce documents. He just does it to make me mad and show me how powerful he is."

Earlier this month, the ex-baseball player requested joint custody of his and Meghan's three children. Jim said in court documents acquired by People that the couple's present arrangement for arranging physical custody is "impractical and unworkable." Under the current system, the former couple each submits their custody schedule 30 days in advance until they agree on their days for the month, or a Parent Coordinator intervenes if they are unable to reach an agreement.

Jim's legal team said in the statement that he occasionally agrees to days that do not match his schedule due to the "practical limitations of seeking the Parent Coordinator's guidance with each monthly disagreement."

In a statement to US Weekly, the retired MLB player also lambasted his ex-wife, calling her "unstable, unfit [and] unwilling to co-parent and unable to provide an environment for the children that is emotionally and physically safe." He continued by accusing Meghan of "intentionally creating obstacles in an effort to put distance" between him and the children.

Jim Edmonds slams Meghan King for wearing vulgar sweatshirt at children's school

In late April, Jim chastised Meghan for wearing 'inappropriate' attire while driving their children to school. Her ex-husband expressed his displeasure when the former reality star faced heat for boasting about wearing a sweatshirt that read "f**k this, f**k that, f**k you" near their children.

"Jim obviously feels it is completely inappropriate to wear that sweatshirt around children, especially at their child's school," Us Weekly quoted his spokesman as saying. "You would think common sense would kick in at some point."

In reaction to the criticism, Meghan told the source that 'none' of their 'kids can read, but' she doubts "Jim knows that."

When Jim's spokesman learned that the mother of three had indicated he was gone from the lives of his daughter and four-year-old twin sons, he said he was "going to let the absurdity of that statement speak for itself."
