Megan Thee Stallion looked 'like a deer in headlights' when Tony Lanez shot her, says ex-pal Kelsey Harris
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In a testimony, Kelsey Nicole Harris, a former friend of Megan Thee Stallion, states that it was clearly rapper Tory Lanez who fired rounds at the hip-hop superstar in July 2020. A recorded interview was played for jurors on Friday, December 16, were told prosecutors that she turned at the sound of the second or third of five gunshots, and saw Lanez on the right front passenger side of the Escalade that Megan had exited, shooting over the door.’
Recalling the July 12, 2020, incident with her husband Darien Smith beside, Harris said, “I can’t tell you guys where Tory pulled the gun from,” Harris said, but she had a clear vision that he was firing it in the direction of Megan. She said Lanez ordered his driver to stop the car as he wanted them both out and Megan exited the Escalade in her swimsuit. Harris added that she too exited the vehicle and “no sooner do you know, you start hearing gunshots going off.” “Definitely in her direction. Yeah, definitely in her direction,” she said.

She said Megan was walking with her back to Lanez when he started shooting, but by the third or fourth shot, she’d turned around “and I would describe it as like a deer in headlights.” The complete interview was played for the jurors on Friday, which was about 90 minutes long, as its authenticity was vouched for by a senior investigator with the district attorney’s office.
She attended the interview alongside Deputy District Attorneys Alexander Bott and Kathy Ta, where the latter prosecutor referred to Harris’ demeanor over the entire course of the interview as ‘very comfortable’, ‘friendly, and cordial.’ She also acknowledged the witness’ spouse Smith's presence, ‘very supportive, very friendly as well. Cordial, professional.’
In a detailed interview, Harris also talked about the impact the incident had on her friendship with Megan, Everybody was playing mind games with me.” She told the jurors, "she felt in the dark", and also shared Megan’s insecurity at that time, she was told “L.A.’s dangerous right now” and Megan said she couldn’t stay at the home after she’d just sublet her Texas place and moved out here, reported Law&Crime.
The testimony is likely to end on Tuesday, December 20, as it continues in Los Angeles currently.
