'She is literally worst type of friend': Kelsey Harris trolled for pleading the fifth during Tory Lanez trial

Megan Thee Stallion's ex-BFF Kelsey Harris asked for immunity and reportedly said 'a lot of her memory of the party was blurry due to alcohol consumption' during trial

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kelsey Nicole Harris, ex-BFF of Megan Thee Stallion, who is the crucial witness in the 2020 shooting at Megan, requested to invoke 5th Amendment rights on Wednesday, December 14. Harris asserted in the court that she did not pull the trigger on the rapper, which is against Tory Lanez's claims. Lanez has been accused of shooting the American rapper in the foot in July 2020. 

According to TMZ, Harris claims regarding the shooting were confusing. At one point, she claimed that Lanez threatened to pull the trigger on her. Some of her statements differed from those she gave to the police in September. Meanwhile, the prosecutors wanted her to speak against Lanez, which has not yet happened.

With Harris denying shooting Megan, and with the driver having never been accused, it eventually makes Lanez the suspect. Meanwhile, Harris has been granted immunity after asking for it during the opening of her testimony, reported The Shader Room. The reporter of LA Times, James Queally, claimed, “Kelsey Harris's testimony at Tory Lanez trial began with her showing up with an attorney and asking for immunity. It was granted even after the DA swore they had no intent to prosecute her." He added that “Kelsey spent a little less than 40 minutes on the stand, saying a lot of her memory of the party was “blurry” because of alcohol consumption. She accused Megan of lying about her and called accusations she shot Megan ‘ridiculous.'” However, immunity is granted to someone as an exemption that displaces the privilege against self-incrimination; neither compelled testimony nor any fruits of it can be used against the witness.

The Internet quickly reacted to Kelsey's stance. A user said, "Kelsey being the shooter still don’t make any sense…her asking for immunity so she don’t go to jail for taking the hush money makes more sense 4 people were there and 3 said Tory did it…1 said Kelsey…if Johnny had 4 apples….." Another added ,"Kelsey all of a sudden has amnesia about telling them in a recorded interview that Tory threatened to shoot her, meanwhile the defense is trynna pin this on her. You see how dangerous these pick mes are? They contribute to systemic violence just to still experience it themselves."

Another user claimed, "kelsey harris is a friendly reminder to get all the bird brains out of your circle as quickly as possible." A tweet read, "kelsey is really pleading the 5th for a man who said she was the one who pulled the trigger. she has mashed potatoes for brains." Another user claimed, "No matter how this ends Kelsey Harris is literally the worst type of friend and she doesn’t deserve anything that was ever afforded to her due to Meg, before or after the incident." "so kelsey rather have the whole world believe she shot megan than tell the truth. if you put her brain in a bird it would fly backwards," read a tweet. A user tweeted, "ou have immunity, but you plead the fifth. Would I be wrong to say that the accusations about Kelsey allegedly taking money from Tory is starting to look a bit possible?." A user wondered, "How many “plead the fifths” is Kelsey gonna use during her testimony???." Another claimed, "Kelsey Harris asked for immunity and pled the fifth? That girl took Tory hush money ."
