Hip-hop beefs have become very common these days and the ritual of reverting to their opponent with diss tracks in order to speak their mind is still widely practiced in the game. The latest to drop a diss track is the former BFF of Megan Thee Stallion, Kelsey Nicole. The latter has dissed the ‘Savage’ hitmaker over her new song ‘Shots Fired’ from her album ‘Good News.’

Kelsey took to her official Instagram account to announce the diss track on Megan with the official poster and a caption which read, “Y'all talked y'all s**t, let my ‘SHRIMP’ a** talk my s**t too. Bussin Back on Instagram. I was built for this. no weapon formed against me shall prosper #BUSSINBACK out now.” Kelsey apparently got offended after Megan claimed her former friend to be a “goofy-a** b**ch” who's jealous of her success.

The lyrics of the diss track for Megan go like, “Who I'm taking shots at?/ B**ch I'm busting you/ Couldn't control your little feelings/Look what d**k is costing you/It was all good yeah about a week ago/Shout out Bobby Shmurda but this b**ch is really tweaking tho/If I was the one with the gun you woulda heard about a murder/Said her back was turned but the girl know who really hurt her.” Well, if the diss track was not enough, Kelsie also took to a Live Instagram video later where she called out the award-winning rapper.

Megan, who is known to be a loudmouth, did not hesitate and reverted with a short Instagram video where she can be seen showing a middle finger along with her female buddies doing the same action. She captioned the video as, “GN from thee besties” adding a funny emoticon in the end. Apart from this, Megan also took to Twitter where she posted laughing emoticons as a reply to the video.

The Internet was quick to react to the whole situation. One user posted, “Hey Kelsey girl! Let’s chat... let’s never do what you did... EVER again.” One person shared, “nah why did kelsey drop that.”Another added, “So protect Black women doesn’t include Kelsey? Although the quality of the rap diss was terrible, Kelsey has every right to defend herself from Megan and her fans.” One user tweeted, “now who done gave kelsey studio time to diss megan talking bout a whole bunch of nothing.”

According to The Blast, Megan and Kelsey met at a college in Houston and even if they ended up chasing different paths in career, they still remained real tight buddies. Kelsey later became Megan’s assistant and that’s how they got to spend more time with each other. Interestingly, Kelsey also showed off her dance moves in one of Megan’s music videos titled ‘Girls In The Hood.’

The issue between the two started when Kelsey Nicole stayed silent over the gunfire incident involving Tory Lanez and Megan in July 2020, even though she was reportedly an eye-witness for the same. According to Uproxx, there were rumors about Kelsey and Tory dating, which was why she didn’t want to publicly address the situation. The website also published that Megan and Kelsey reportedly unfollowed each other on Instagram shortly after the shooting, which indicated that their friendship was done for good.
