Megan Fox says she 'wasn't a peach' in her past relationship, credits Machine Gun Kelly for giving her 'outlet' to express pain
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Megan Fox has shared insights into her previous romantic involvements and discussed her approach to dealing with public scrutiny regarding her current relationship with Machine Gun Kelly.

Fox says she’s accountable for her role in her relationships
Fox told Barrymore that she’s learned to “let it go” when fans speculate that Kelly’s lyrics are about her.
She mentioned that she had read certain lyrics from his songs and found herself pondering, "OK, are we really gonna put that?"
However, she added, “It is what it is, though, because as long as it’s the truth, then it’s the truth. I have to be accountable for my actions and my role inside a relationship and if someone wants to put that into art, they should.”

Fox supports Kelly’s artistic expression
Fox also said that she and Kelly support each other’s artistic expression, even when it’s not flattering.
She conveyed that Machine Gun Kelly, also known as Colson Baker, acknowledges that he can express his pain through songwriting, whereas she, as an actor, doesn't have a similar outlet.

She disclosed that Kelly was supportive and encouraged her to write her debut poetry book, 'Pretty Boys Are Poisonous,' even though it doesn't always depict him in the most favorable light.
She expressed, “He recognized that I needed an outlet for that, and when you love someone, you’re not gonna deny them their right to experience relief from their suffering.”
Fox admits she was 'not a peach' in her early 20s
Fox also acknowledged that she wasn't always easy to deal with in her early 20s, stating that anyone who dated her during that time probably had enough material to write their own poetry book.
She stated, “I think I’ve grown a lot and he’s helped me grow a lot as a person.”
In her poetry book, Megan Fox delves into the poignant experience of a miscarriage that she and Machine Gun Kelly confronted during the early stages of their relationship.
“There is an ultrasound by your side of the bed, 10 weeks and 1 day … do you think that if she could have, she would have left a suicide note?” she said.
She continued, “But now I have to say goodbye. I close my eyes and imagine holding you tight against my chest as they rip you from my insides … I will pay any price, please, what is the ransom for her soul?”
