KINGSTOWN, MICHIGAN: 'Mayor of Kingstown' Season 3 is getting more intense with each episode, drawing viewers deeper into its gripping narrative centered around Kingstown.
In 'Mayor of Kingstown' Season 3 Episode 1, it was revealed that Bunny Washington (Tobi Bamtefa) strategically placed a mole within the Correctional Facility. Kevin Jackson (Denny Love) enrolled as the new prison guard at the Correctional Facility and he kept Bunny in the loop about what's happening inside the prison.
In Episode 2, a new problem shook the prison, causing unrest among the inmates and tension among the staff. Let's discuss the key events from Episode 2 and what might happen in Episode 3.
What happened in 'Mayor of Kingstown' Season 3 Episode 2?
In 'Mayor of Kingstown' Season 3, Episode 2, Mayor Mike McLusky (Jeremy Renner) is back to holding meetings in his office, and he meets with a mother whose son was murdered.
The mother, Anna Fletcher (Paula Malcomson) reveals to Mike about his son's death. She said that the killer, Greg Stewart was a close friend of her son.
In the days following the tragic murder, he maintained an air of innocence, acting as if he knew nothing about the crime. He went out of his way to comfort and support her, pretending to share in her grief and offering a shoulder to lean on.
Greg is incarcerated in StoneBrook Prison, but after serving several years of his sentence, the parole board has recently approved his release. Anna requests Mike to take action that would extend Greg's sentence and reverse the decision to release him.
Mike calls Carney (Lane Garrison) to get the number of his sister who works at StoneBrook. As the episode unfolds, Carney finds a dead body in the storage room of the prison. He falls, slipping into a pool of blood and viscera.
On the other hand, one of Raphael's (D Smoke) associates, Big Hush (Jock McKissic), suddenly falls ill, exhibiting symptoms like foaming at the mouth and intense pain. He dies, vomiting a white substance from his mouth.
Later on, Mike meets with Bunny (Tobi Bamtefa), who confirms that a heroin balloon likely bursts inside Hush. He also says that a woman named Sharon gave the balloons to Hush.
As the episode progresses further, two inmates suddenly start convulsing, their bodies wracked with violent spasms. Foam spills from their mouths as they struggle in agony, drawing the attention of other prisoners and guards alike.
Subsequently, Warden Kareem Moore (Michael Beach) orders Carney to lock down the yard for a while. Evelyn Foley (Necar Zadegan) arrives at the prison to conduct an investigation into the deaths.
Apparently, people are also dying on the streets. As mysterious deaths continue to occur in both public and private spaces, the authorities need to know the real cause of these deaths.
Moore asserts that heroin is not the cause of these deaths. Instead, he suspects that a type of poison was smuggled into the prison by a mule working for Bunny and the Crips.
Viewers also witness a confrontation between Kareem and Carney regarding Mike, with Kareem asserting that Mike is a criminal who assists other criminals.
As the episode unfolds, a meeting between Evelyn and Mike takes place. She highlights the deaths of a 22-year-old, a 30-year-old, and a mother of three who did not have a history of long-term drug use. She says these deaths are occurring both on the streets and in the prison, raising concerns that the epidemic may soon impact schools.
Later on, Ian (Hugh Dillon) reveals to Mike that they found Sharon murdered across the street from Anchor Bay. Mike suspects that she must have stolen Bunny's drugs before her death. Ian reveals that there's a new Russian named Konstantin (Yorick van Wageningen) taking charge after Milo's (Aidan Gillen) death.
Mike and Ian visit Sharon's brother's house and inquire about why his car was at Anchor Bay. However, they don't find any clue.
As the episode unfolds, it is revealed that Mike was unable to revoke the parole of Greg, the killer. He tells Anna that Greg was a model prisoner who did everything right.
Later on, viewers see Anna waiting at a bus stop. When the bus arrives and a man steps out, she calls out, "Greg." As he turns to face her, she fires four shots into his chest.
What to expect from 'Mayor of Kingstown' Season 3 Episode 3?
In 'Mayor of Kingstown' Season 3 Episode 3, Mike may grapple with the repercussions of Anna's actions. As Anna takes matters into her own hands by seeking revenge on Greg, Mike is likely to face the fallout of her decision. The authorities may be compelled to arrest Anna for committing a crime by killing Greg.
If Mike attempts to protect Anna from legal proceedings, he could face opposition from the Kingstown Police Department. Kareem, who already views Mike as a criminal who protects other criminals, may use this situation to further discredit him. This could result in increased scrutiny and challenges for Mike, both within the criminal underworld and from law enforcement.
It also appears likely that the new villain Konstantin may be responsible for the deaths occurring around town, where victims are dying after vomiting a white substance.
Mike may collaborate with his team to uncover the truth about who is responsible for the mysterious deaths and may attempt to eradicate drugs from the town.
As a formidable adversary, Konstantin could pose a significant threat to Mike's efforts to maintain order and combat the drug epidemic. Konstantin may attempt to leverage his power to gain control of the area and defeat Mike.
