Martha Stewart reveals her love life improved after posing in daring swimsuit for Sports Illustrated
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Martha Stewart recently revealed how her love life seems to have improved ever since she appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit. Stewart, 81, made history earlier this week when she became the oldest woman to appear on the cover of the magazine.
Stewart confidently posed in a white swimsuit with a billowing orange cover-up draped over her for the cover. The acclaimed cookbook author joined a number of other celebs, including Megan Fox, Brooks Nader and Kim Petras, for the magazine's numerous covers. Now, the cover seems to have done the trick, resulting in an extended queue of lovers.

'I've gotten a few inquiries'
Following the cover's release, Stewart attended the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit party on Thursday, May 18. She looked gorgeous in a shimmery metallic gown which she paired with a pair of matching earrings. After posing for the shutterbugs on the red carpet, Stewart told Entertainment Tonight that her love life had taken a turn for the better following the release of the cover. "I've gotten a few inquiries. Just a couple," she told the outlet, without revealing her new suitors.
Stewart, who was married to Andrew Stewart for almost 30 years, further stated that while dating was not her top priority right now, she would be open to exploring an on-screen relationship in the future. "Maybe I'll do a movie or one of the great series' that's on now," she said, adding that she was confident that she would "find the right leading man" to star with her.
Stewart mentioned how busy she was, stating she was "still working really hard" and prioritizing certain things. "You have to make time for certain things. My garden is very important," she said, before mentioning her “two amazing grandchildren."
'It turned out okay!'
Stewart seemed overjoyed to see herself on the cover of the magazine when she unveiled it on the 'Today Show'. "I like that picture," she said, before applauding herself, according to The Mirror. "To go to an island and get changed into nine different bathing suits in one day in front of all of those people and it turned out okay!" she told the show's hosts and revealed how she prepped for the photo shoot. "I didn't starve myself, but I didn't eat any bread or pasta for a couple of months. I went to Pilates every other day and that was great; I'm still going to Pilates every other day 'cause it's so great. And I just, I live a clean life anyway – good diet and good exercise and healthy skincare and all of that stuff,” she continued.
Stewart was approached in November 2022 to participate in the Sports Illustrated cover shoot, which took place at the end of January. "That was kind of a request that I've never had before. To be on the cover at my age was a challenge. And I think I met the challenge,” she recalled. During the shoot, the octogenarian appeared in nine different swimsuits. "I mean, they were prodding me and pinching me and pouring water all over my head! ... There are no tricks. They tell you you look okay. That's nice. They sort of reinforce that it's okay to be doing what you're doing,” she said.
