LONDON, UK: A British man's massive dog gets often mistaken for a pony or a lion. Kenzo the dog, a three-year-old Central Asian Shepherd who frequently astounds onlookers with his enormous size belongs to Jamal Miah from East London. However, owning a dog of Kenzo's size comes with a significant cost.

At first glance, many outsiders mistake Kenzo for a lion or a pony due to his massive size. However, upon closer look, it becomes evident that he is, in fact, a very large dog. With the ability to stand on his hind legs and reach up to six feet in height, Kenzo's imposing stature can be quite a sight to behold. Despite his impressive size, he weighs only around 85 kilograms, which is roughly equivalent to the weight of an average man. Jamal must shell out a whopping amount of $1621 annually just to keep his furry friend fed and healthy, as per LadBible.

'He's so big and he's just puppy'

According to Jamal, Kenzo was given up for adoption by a friend of his since the former owner could no longer care for him because he had grown too large. He stated that individuals who see the dog have a variety of responses to him, and some of them occasionally mistake him for another animal. "We saw him and said 'oh my god'. He's so big and he's just a puppy. "It's 50/50. Some people are scared and cross the street when they see him, and others just want to stroke and pet him. People will question me, like 'what is this dog?', they'll say 'what is that, is that a pony, is it a lion?'" he said, according to LadBible. "My daughters were scared of him initially because of his size. But after a few walks, they got used to him. He knows they're my daughters, so he's their natural protector now," he further added.

Kenzo's upkeep costs a bomb

Taking care of the three-year-old canine is also a challenging responsibility, so Jamal wisely chose to hire a dog trainer to keep Kenzo out of trouble. Additionally, a dog that size requires a pretty substantial diet, and Kenzo consumes about five pounds of raw meat every day, according to Jamal, at a cost of about $1,622 annually.

He's had Kenzo for a couple of years and estimates that the total cost of training, feeding, and caring for his canine companion must have been in the neighborhood of $10,816. He is certain that Kenzo is worthwhile despite the enormous expense because they have "a really good bond" and even though the Central Asian Shepherd is large he is "really friendly with dogs and people he knows."
