June Shannon was left disheartened and embarrassed after her daughters ditched her bridal shower

TUSKEGEE, ALABAMA: 'Mama June: Family Crisis' returns with an exciting new episode and plenty of drama. Justin Stroud's family hosted a bridal shower for June Shannon before her second wedding in front of their close family and friends after they had a courthouse wedding without her family.

Shannon's daughters Lauryn 'Pumpkin' Efird, Jessica 'Chubbs' Shannon, and Alana 'Honey Boo Boo' Thompson didn't attend her bridal shower despite Justin's mother inviting them. However, only Anna 'Chickadee' Cardwell, who was recently diagnosed with cancer, attended Shannon's bridal shower party.

Shannon was left disheartened and embarrassed after her daughters ditched her bridal shower. She was upset that all of her daughters, except for her oldest Anna don’t show up for her bridal shower after she told her husband Justin's mom about how excited they are about the upcoming wedding. Shannon wanted to create a good impression on Justin's mom, Rexanna Stroud, and his family which lead to a lie about how close she was to her daughters, and how excited they were about the bridal shower and upcoming wedding. However, when only Anna showed up for the party Justin's family questions her relationship with her daughters. Meanwhile, in the recent episode, June admitted that she is trying to repair her relationship with all four of her daughters, though it's clear by Honey Boo Boo, Pumpkin, and Jessica's absence that there's still work to be done.

After Pumpkin, Jessica, and Honey Boo Boo ditched Shannon's bridal shower, Justin's relatives were left disappointed. Justin's uncle, Allen, said to Shannon, "Thought we was gonna meet that Honey Boo Boo," with other relatives agreed to him. However, Justin's uncle's comment sparked backlash on social media. A social media user wrote, "Do you get the feeling that Justin’s family want to profit off the name of Honey Boo Boo puts me in the mind of Jennifer trying to get custody of Alana." Another viewer tweeted, "Justin's family don't even care about Anna they rather see Alana aka Honey Boo Boo something ain't right." Another person noted, "Keep Justin's uncle away from Alana. It's creepy he was watching toddler & tiaras by himself, and it's creepy how eager he is to meet her. Imagine how uncomfortable she would be." Another Twitter user wrote, "Justin's family is nothing but a bunch of obsessed fans!" Another user suggested, "Justin’s family sure is obsessed with Honey Boo Boo."
