ATLANTA, GEORGIA: 'Mama June: Family Crisis' star Lauryn "Pumpkin" Efird organized a 'goodbye' bash for her sister, Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson, ahead of her departure for Denver to pursue a nursing degree. Pumpkin welcomed close friends and relatives to join them at a restaurant for this special occasion.
Pumpkin's husband, Josh Efird, invited his stepfather-in-law, Justin Stroud, with the understanding that the information would remain confidential from Mama June Shannon. This precaution was taken due to the recent strain in the relationship between Honey Boo Boo and June due to a heated dispute over finances.
However, Honey Boo Boo was left feeling disappointed upon learning that June might attend the party, expressing her reluctance to attend as a result. As expected, June crashed Honey Boo Boo's farewell party despite Justin's attempts to persuade her otherwise. Honey Boo Boo was left furious over June's arrival and tried to ignore her mother.
The reality star confessed to the cameras that June could take accountability for stealing her money. She said, "She doesn't even know what the word 'sorry' means. It's not in her vocabulary at all."
Mama June claims to be 'excited' for Honey Boo Boo
Mama June unexpectedly joined Honey Boo Boo's farewell party without an invitation, hoping to mend their strained relationship. During the latest episode, June shared a heartfelt speech and claimed to be excited for Honey Boo Boo's journey ahead.
She said, "I do want to say that I am proud of you, even though you always say I'm this Negative Nancy. But I always look at what things that maybe Pumpkin or Josh or even yourself don't look at or even Dralin." June added, "But I am excited about you actually like going there."
She continued, "I mean, it's gonna be weird like I know for me, for Justin, for Pumpkin, for Josh, for Jessica and Shyann not to see you walking through the door, every other day. And this is just the truth hopefully it works out and you make it to 2029. But if it don't you always know that you have a place back here."
However, Honey Boo Boo wasn't impressed with her mother's speech and said, "I don't think I will ever come back here."
Honey Boo Boo accused Mama June of 'stealing' money
Honey Boo Boo and Mama June's relationship recently hit a dramatic low point in the previous episode. The mother-daughter duo engaged in an explosive feud, with Honey Boo Boo accusing June of stealing her money. June revealed that there was no money for Honey Boo Boo to pursue her college education.
The reality star admitted to having spent a significant portion of the money Honey Boo Boo earned as a reality star. Shockingly, June disclosed that only $33,000 remained in the Coogan account. The teenager has starred on several reality shows after she first appeared on 'Toddlers & Tiaras', earning money from TV appearances and other gigs over the years.
During the massive fight, Honey Boo Boo accused her mother of stealing from her and claimed she would send her mom to jail if necessary. Despite the drama, June appeared dismissive and claimed she didn't steal the funds. She sarcastically added, "I used it in my drug addiction. Wooh!"
