If there is any dialogue from Season 13 of 'Married At First Sight' that is burned into fans' minds, it would have to be Johnny exclaiming, "I know her!" on the couple's wedding day. At the start of the season, Johnny and Bao seemed like they would be the strongest couple on the season. However, what happened to them blindsided everyone.

Johnny and Bao's history of knowing each other was amped up, making their marriage seemed like fate. And while the honeymoon went seemingly well, throughout the season, Johnny showed a side of himself that startled everyone, including fans who labeled him as verbally abusive.

As the couple sat down with the experts, Bao claimed that Johnny self-sabotages and is afraid of being happy. For Johnny, Bao was too immature for him. As Bao spoke about their issues, communication was her biggest, seeing that every conversation turned into a fight. Johnny claimed that during these fights, he never raised his voice and often listened to her. Bao disagreed and pointed out that they seem to be remembering the situations differently. Even the Sarah situation was brought up, where Johnny apologized for having taken that information and run with it, claiming it was what he wanted to hear at the time. When it came down to making the final choice, Johnny agreed to stay married, but it was a definite no for Bao. Johnny seemed taken aback, asking why she wouldn't give it a shot and even stating that "was the marriage that bad?"

Fans were exasperated at his lack of self-awareness. "It was Johnny really asking "was our marriage really that bad?" You put our girl Boa through hell!! #mafs" tweeted a fan. "PERIODDDDDD!!! I'm so proud of Bao!! I'm glad Johnny said "yes" too! That's what he gets for being a gaslighting fuck boy  #MAFS #MarriedAtFirstSight" added another. "Ummm what alternate reality was Johnny living in? He talked to Bao disgustingly and surprised she said NO. BOY BYE #MAFS #MarriedAtFirstSight" stated another. "Johnny : "was marriage really that bad" Viewers across the galaxy: Y.E.S!!! #MarriedAtFirstSight #mafsHouston #MAFS" tweeted a fan.

Fans were convinced that the only reason Johnny said yes was to redeem himself. "Bao speaking up for herself and saying no to Johnny redeemed the season for me. I can sleep soundly now. #MAFS" tweeted a fan. "Johnny saying - Yes - so he can appear to be the good guy who is saving the garden of roses he just ran over with a bulldozer. #mafs #hypocrite #mafsHouston" added another. "I think Johnny just said yes to redeem himself. You not fooling us and more importantly Bao #MAFS" said a fan.
