LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Madonna, the iconic pop sensation, was set to embark on her highly anticipated world tour in just 10 days. However, she is now facing uncertainty about whether to start her Celebration tour. Recent health updates about the songstress' recovery from a severe bacterial infection suggest a challenging road ahead.

According to sources with direct knowledge, Madonna's recuperation process is not progressing as swiftly as she had hoped. Described as "weak and very tired," the legendary singer has been spending a significant amount of time confined to bed, still grappling with the aftermath of her illness.

'She ignored some symptoms of illness'

As previously reported, Madonna found herself in the intensive care unit after collapsing in her apartment on Saturday, June 24, due to a bacterial infection. She had been silently battling a fever for over a month but feared that revealing her condition could jeopardize her upcoming Celebration tour. Insiders have shed light on Madonna's strong work ethic, even while feeling unwell. "She ignored some symptoms of illness for quite a while because she thought they would go away. But she didn't want to take time away from rehearsals," a music industry insider explained.

'She just continues to push herself beyond the limit'

In a new report, insiders shed light on Madonna's relentless work ethic despite feeling under the weather. "She was rundown and not feeling 100 percent for a while in anticipation of her tour. She is relentless in her quest to be the best, to wow her fans and to do what others before her have not done," the source informed People. Another insider claimed, "Madonna has been very busy for a long time and not taking care of herself. She just continues to push herself beyond the limit."

Despite the setbacks, the 64-year-old megastar is yet to concede and postpone the tour. Madonna has chosen to remain tight-lipped about the situation, keeping most of her interactions on the matter under wraps. While Madonna's representatives have refrained from making any official statements regarding her scheduled July 15 kickoff concert in Vancouver, the latest information suggests the tour might not start on schedule. When fans were informed about Madonna's hospitalization, her manager decided to put all commitments, including her tour, on hold and planned to reschedule some shows. However, she has since returned home to rest, but no updates have been given about the tour.
