LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Madonna’s upcoming 40th-anniversary tour has been delayed. According to the veteran’s manager Guy Oseary, the ‘Papa Don’t Preach’ singer was admitted to a hospital and was intubated after being found unresponsive in New York on Saturday, June 24. Oseary shared details about her current state on Instagram, “On Saturday, June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection which led to a several-day stay in the ICU. required her to stay in the ICU for several days. Her health is improving, however, she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected.” The post further read, “At this time we will need to pause all commitments, which include the tour. 'It may be her last tour, so she wants to make it perfect'

The PageSix report claims her eldest daughter, Lourdes Leon, 26, remained by her side. Earlier, her longtime manager, talked about the tour and Madonna’s healthy lifestyle, “Madonna is really turning it out. She is in incredible shape and is going to kill it with this tour.”

While talking about the importance of the tour, he said, “It may be her last tour, so she wants to make it perfect. She is incredible shape and her body is sick. This is her labor of love. Her perfectionism is driving everyone up the wall but she does not care. The crew is working their a** off because everyone wants to make her happy. She has no issues whatsoever with firing someone at the drop of a hat.”

'Not all bacterial infections are serious'

According to Cleveland Clinic, “Common bacterial diseases include UTIs, food poisoning, STIs and some skin, sinus, and ear infections. There are many bacterial infections that aren’t usually serious or can be treated easily with antibiotics.” “However, any bacterial infection that gets deep into your body, like in your blood, heart, lungs or brain, can be life-threatening,” it explained, reported the Daily Mail.

The Madonna: The Celebration Tour, was scheduled to begin from July 15, 2023, to January 30, 2024. If everything goes according to plan then it would be the 'Hung Up' singer's 12th concert tour where she will be performing in cities across North America and Europe.
