After teasing the song and its accompanying video in recent weeks, Madonna shared the new "Frozen Remix" music video on Thursday, March 10. The 'Material Girl' dressed in a ghoulish all-black outfit and showed off her physical prowess as she danced alongside collaborator Fireboy DML to the remix of the hit from her 1998 album 'Ray of Light'.

The nearly 3-minute video shows the Queen of Pop rocking leather outfit and her signature Madame X cross jewelry while smoking and dancing alongside the Nigerian singer.

Ahead of its release, DML thanked Madonna for bringing him onto the song, writing on Instagram, "Love to the queen for having me on this classic." The new version of 'Frozen' is Madonna's first song since dropping live album 'Madame X' last year. Meanwhile, Fireboy released his single 'Peru' alongside Ed Sheeran last December.

The 'Like A Virgin' star had been counting down the release date of the remix on social media by posting a series of clips ahead of the music video's release. Many of her fans jumped to the comments section and remarked on her younger appearance in the new 'Frozen' remix video, released 25 years after the original song. The resurgence of Madonna's 1998 Billboard Hot 100 No 2 hit and Dance Club Songs chart-topper began in December 2021, when Canadian producer Sickick transformed it into a chill trap mix that instantly went viral on TikTok.

After release of the 'Frozen' remix video on YouTube, many fans took to Twitter to share their views on the music video. One wrote, "If I'm being honest, I have NO idea what's even going on. But bitch, I am LIVING!!!." Another commented, "Frozen is my favorite Madonna song and top 10 favorite songs of all time. While the cinematography is beautiful the remix is trash and unnecessary." A third added, "TikTok’s impact is out of control".

A fourth quipped, "Again…I want the old Madonna back. Her music would probably do better if she stopped chasing these shitty fucking trends. It’s just sad at this point." A fifth wrote, "Momma you look so GOOD". A sixth commented, "Exactly what Katy Perry should've done with Harleys In Hawaii." A seventh added, "She is almost 70 serving like this and our faves?". A eighth asked, "Did @Madonna’s FROZEN need to be remixed? I mean, the original was ace. Not to shabby remix. Still, get us some new material…. Material Girl!"
