It's been two years since the tragic death of Pittsburgh rapper Mac Miller. The 'Donald Trump' hitmaker died on September 7, 2018, from an accidental drug overdose, reportedly mixed drug toxicity of fentanyl, cocaine and alcohol. Miller was scheduled to embark on his Swimming Tour, and shoot a music video on the day of his death. The untimely demise of Miller saddened fans across the world. Following his death, 'Swimming', the rapper's last release while still alive, rose from No. 71 to No. 6 on the Billboard 200. The album, which was both critically and commercially successful album, also spawned the single 'Self Care' which became Miller's highest-charting song as a lead artiste.

Now, two years after his death, fans are petitioning Netflix to make Miller's MTV2 reality television show, 'Mac Miller and the Most Dope Family', available for streaming on the platform. A Change.org petition, which reads, "Fans of the late Mac Miller would be incredibly grateful for the opportunity for 'Mac Miller and The Most Dope Family' to be able to be streamed on Netflix. All proceeds from streams of the show should be donated to the Mac Miller Fund," has crossed 8,200 signatures already, and is climbing steadily as the fans of the late rapper spread the word on social media.

One fan, talking about his desire to stream 'Mac Miller and the Most Dope Family' in full, tweeted, "Alright @netflix , I need Fantasy Factory, Rob & Big, and Mac Miller and the Most dope family right now!!"

More fans voiced their desire to bring back the reality show which ran from 2013 to 2014 and wrote, "They need to put Mac Miller and the most dope family on Netflix that show was my fav when it was on tv!"

While one fan simply wrote, "Bring@mac and the most dope family back to mtv," while another said, "Mac Miller and the most dope family was my show on mtv."

Reminiscing the good old days of watching the show and seeing SchoolBoy Q, another fan wrote, "anyone else remember on Mac Miller and the Most Dope Family they were riding bikes and “ran into” Q? those were the days."

Miller's final album, 'Circles', was released in January this year (2020) and debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart. The late rapper's estate also released a remastered version of his 2010 mixtape 'KIDS' with two new bonus tracks titles 'Ayye' and 'Back in the Day'. 'Mac Miller and the Most Dope Family' ran on MTV2 from February 26, 2013, to September 3, 2014, and consisted of two seasons with 14 episodes. The show featured Miller, his bodyguard Big Dave, friends Jimmy and Peanut, business partner Quentin and longtime friends ClockworkDJ and Chelsea.
