LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ludwig Ahgren, co-owner of Moist Esports, is attempting to fill VCT America's promotion position for 2024, despite The Guard's refusal to accept the Team Participation Agreement.

As word spread that The Guard would not be competing in the VCT Americas, Ludwig and Jeremy Wang aka Disguised Toast made public comments about how to save the group and The Guard's spot in VCT Americas League.

Disguised Toast considered purchasing players

Toast discussed purchasing the players himself despite being broke in response to the public statement published by the official North American Valorant Esports handle.

The statement indicated The Guard had fallen short of standards to compete in the VCT Americas League.

Toast said, "I might be broke but I'd sign these players if it means them getting to play in franchising and keep the spot they earned."

VALORANT Esports NA posted on X that read, "An update regarding the teams participating in VCT Americas 2024."

Streamers discuss players' exclusion from VCT

Toast has experienced significant financial losses as a result of his esports endeavors, a subject that he has addressed in full.

He has long been open about the financial costs associated with leading an organization in the industry.

He also expressed his worries on X, noting that there had to be a mechanism to keep the player's franchise spot.

He wrote, "SERISOUSLY RECONSIDER LET THE PLAYERS KEEP THE SLOT AND ALLOW SOMEONE TO BUY THEIR CONTRACTS+FRANCHISE FEES OR LET M80 GO AS RUNNER UP MAKE THE LAST YEAR OF MY LIFE NOT A WASTE."
