'Lucifer' star Rachael Harris files for divorce from husband Christian Hebel
'Lucifer' star Rachael Harris has filed for divorce from her husband, Christian Hebel. The cause of the split is currently unclear. According to TMZ, the former couple have two children together, three-year-old Henry and Otto (1). This will be Harris's second divorce. She was previously married to Adam Paul, the actor best known for playing Mitch, 'The Naked Man' on the CBS hit 'How I Met Your Mother.'
Harris filed the documents on Wednesday in the L.A. County Superior Court. As per Blast, she and Hebel, an accomplished concertmaster and violinist, eloped in 2015 during a private ceremony in NYC. Their celebrity friends, Neil Patrick Harris, David Burtka and Kelly Ripa were part of the occasion. It is the timing of the filing that raises eyebrows, as she canceled a scheduled appearance for a convention for 'Lucifer' citing personal reasons five days ago. Her co-star from the show, Inbar Lavi came in as her replacement.
Lavi plays Eve, the world's first female human, Cain's mother and former lover of Lucifer in season 4. Harris plays a key role in 'Lucifer' as Dr. Linda Martin where she essays Lucifer's Stanford-educated psychotherapist, who initially accepts "payments" from him in the form of sex.
The 51-year old is also known for guest-starring roled in 'Reno 911!', 'New Girl', 'Suits' and 'The Good Wife'. Her film credits include roles in 'Best in Show', 'A Mighty Wind', 'For Your Consideration', 'Kicking & Screaming', and 'Daddy Day Care'. In the 2009 comedy 'The Hangover' she plays Melissa, the domineering girlfriend to Ed Helms's character Stu. She previously co-starred with Helms on The Daily Show. She plays the mother of the main character in the film 'Diary of a Wimpy Kid' and its two sequels.
As of now, not details about the divorce or what led to the breakdown of their marriage are scarce.
