Samira Mighty, the 22-year-old 'Love Island' contestant, has quit the show sensationally only hours after she was seen crying over her evicted partner Frankie Foster. Samira has been heartbroken ever since Frankie was dumbed from the ITV2 show earlier in the week, as she confided her emotional state of mind to Dani Dyer. She had admitted to Dani that she was considering leaving the villa. "We’ve been here from the start and I finally got what I wanted and now I feel like I’m back at square one but worse. It’s unfinished business,” she said.

"Obviously, Frankie is gone and I had a little bit of what I could have and I really liked it. But I don’t feel like I’m going to meet anyone else and have a connection with anyone else. You know how hard it is for me to meet someone and actually have a connection with them. Also, all my best mates are moving on in here. I want to stay so bad but I can’t be happy here anymore. I’m going to sleep on it tonight,” she said.

Turns out, Samira had already made up her mind as she did not delay when the time came for her to leave. She confessed teary-eyed in the previous night's episode that she had finally found a connection with Frankie.

She said, "I’ve not had any connection in here with anyone and I had a little taste of that with Frankie and it’s gone abruptly. I think I’d always be thinking ‘What if.’ I woke up this morning and I thought, it’s my time to go… I have to do this for me, I’ve never felt so strong.”

She bid farewell to Ellie, Dani, and Megan explaining to them that it was a hard thing to decide since she has been in a dilemma about leaving. "So my lovely beautiful girls, you guys know that I’ve had a really tough couple of days here recently and I’ve been umming and ahhing about leaving... This decision is so, so hard. I’m devastated by it. But I think that it is the right thing to do. Just follow my heart because I’ve never done that before. I’ve always taken the back seat and now I need to go for it head on and leave and just go for Frankie," she said.

Samira received an incredible amount of support from her mates who exclaimed that it seemed her old self had returned. Megan said, "You seem happier already having made your mind up. You seem like the old Samira back again.”

Samira had a tough journey in finding her love. After several disappointments, she finally found a more personal bond with Frankie. She explained, "I’ve got to go with my gut feeling. And I’m not saying I’m in love with Frankie or we’re going to get married tomorrow but I don’t want to waste any time. I just want to see him and I know this is the right thing to do. This opportunity was amazing and I take it with a full heart and full love.”

Both Dani and Megan later confessed at the Beach Hut that, although they would have wanted her to stay, if her decision to follow her heart is what she wants, then they respect her for it.

Megan supported Samira's decision by saying, "From a selfish point of view, I’d love her to stay but I know she is making the right decision.” Dani was just as supportive claiming that Samira was the one who would look out for her. "Samira looked after me. I’m glad she’s going to find her happiness but she was a part of my happiness… We came in Love Island to find love and Samira found someone and it was taken away from her and she wants to carry that on and I respect her for that.”
