'Love and Hip Hop: New York' star Mendeecees Harris released after four-year jail term, reunites with Yandy

Yandy took to her Instagram and uploaded a new video following Mendeecees' release. She captioned her video, 'Never going back...@mendeecees.'

Happy days are back at last for former 'Love and Hip Hop: New York' star Mendeecees Harris. 

The 'Love and Hip Hop: New York' alum has reportedly been released from prison after four years and is reunited with his wife Yandy Smith-Harris and kids. Recently, Yandy took to her Instagram account and uploaded a new video following Mendeecees' release. She captioned her video, "Never going back...@mendeecees." Her post was a video of the couple walking out of an SUV together 

Mendeecees spent four years in prison on drug trafficking charges and now he is back home in the arms of his wife and children. The 41-year-old star also took to his Instagram account and uploaded stories of them jamming in the car. They were jamming to 'Ballin' by Mustard and Roddy Rich. 

The news of Mendeecees' prison release comes after outlets that stated he would be released from prison in November 2020, Revolt reports. Mendeecees was sentenced to eight years in federal prison after he pleaded guilty to drug trafficking in December 2015. He accepted the plea and admitted that he helped transport heroin and cocaine from New York City to Rochester from 2006 to 2008. 

Mendeecees also served 15 months of prison time before his sentence began. He began serving his given sentence in prison from January 2016. Post his release, fans who saw Yandy's video on Instagram expressed how happy and excited they were for his release. 

"I know u sooooo happy girl !!! cuz I’m happy for u lmao welcome home Mendeece," wrote a fan. Adding to that another said, "Yayyyyyyyyyy Welcome home!!!!" 

"@yandysmith I’m so happy for you welcome the kids are super happy," shared a fan. While another wrote, "yes!! Welcome home!! And you better walk in that coat!! 🔥 Harlem 🍾🍾freedom 20/20."
