'Love After Lockup': Destinie plans date with a woman, will Shawn finally learn that she's trisexual?
Destinie and Shawn seemed to have gotten off to a good start but will her need to experience "the best of both worlds" stand in the way of them having a happy future? In tonight's episode of 'Love After Lockup', we see Destinie okaying a date with a girl while assuring that she doesn't have to worry about her boyfriend.
This wasn't shocking or surprising because Destinie had already shared that if she wants to do something, she will do it and added that she wouldn't care about what others thought. This happened while Shawn's friend, Hector, asked her questions about her and the kind of life she enjoys leading.
This other side of her, that wants to get intimate with women, is unknown to Shawn. And from the looks of it, Destinie wants to keep it that way. Previously, she even admitted to being trisexual, implying that she is open to being adventurous when it comes to sex. In an ideal world that sounds like good news, but not in case of Shawn because he is not the only one vying for Destinie's attention.
However, Shawn has been keeping things from her as always. So, when and if the beans spill, he will not have much to go at her with because he has been in the wrong too by not sharing crucial information with her. He lied about his age and the number of kids he has been fathering. That was too much to take for Destinie. How will she react when she finds out that he has been in touch with Kelly, the mother of his six children, all along?
Sure, they are into each other and want to spend their lives together but for that to happen smoothly, they must first be honest about what's going on in their lives. Clear and open communication is often the key to a successful relationship. Here's hoping they are able to recognize the importance of having heart-to-heart conversations and course correct.
