California-based rapper Logic most recently hung up his boots on his decade-long mainstream rap career after dropping his sixth and final studio album titled 'No Pressure' on July 24, 2020. The 30-year-old rapper maintained a low profile until he was in the news again for shelling out more than $220,000 on a rare Charizard Pokemon card. Yes, you read it right. Let that sink in.

According to Tech Times, Iconic Auctions brought a rare first-edition shadowless holographic Charizard #4 from 199 for the starting bid of $40,000. The card which was on gem-mint condition went up to a whopping $183,812 as the retired rapper managed to outbid the others after placing 17 bids for the item. The amount crossed more than $220,000 after including the 20% buyer’s premium.

Logic, whose real name is Sir Robert Bryson Hall II, also posted a short video of him on Twitter where he can be seen all excited like a kid while unpacking the rare Pokemon card.

He had posted the same video on Instagram with the caption, "When I was a kid I absolutely loved Pokémon but couldn't afford the cards. I remember even trying to trade food stamps for theirs and now as an adult who has saved every penny he has made being able to enjoy something that I've loved since childhood now as a grown man is like buying back a piece of something I could never have, it's not about the material it’s about the experience."

The ‘Flexicution’ hit-maker had also opened a $23K Pokemon base set box in another Twitter post which read, "Just opened a $23k Pokémon base set box! Only a few packs in but Look what I pulled!! YOLO"

Now, we know you all must be wondering that if Logic has retired from the scene, then how is he able to pay a massive amount of money that too for a rare Pokemon card. The rapper still earns pretty well with his business deals and marketing collaborations. Logic was on Forbes ‘30 Under 30’ in the year 2017 and his net worth currently stands between $12million-$15million.

The two-time Grammy nominee rapper is also one of the highest-paid rappers in the hip-hop industry. After releasing a bunch of mixtapes from 2009, he first shot to fame with his 2010 mixtape called 'Young, Broke and Infamous'. He was later signed to an independent label called Visionary Music Group.  In 2011, he released his second mixtape, 'Young Sinatra', and in 2012, Logic launched his first national headlining tour.

He then released 'Young Sinatra: Welcome to Forever' in 2013. Therefore, the record sales from all these mixtapes and touring on the road made him earn a lot of money. His first full-length debut album titled 'Under Pressure' was released in 2014 and then there was no looking back. Logic then dropped another album in 2015 titled 'The Incredible True Story' which debuted at number 3 on the Billboard chart which further cemented his position in the rap game.

His next few albums until retirement namely 'Everybody' in 2017, ‘YSIV' in 2018, 'Confessions of a Dangerous Mind' in 2019 and his last album 'No Pressure' in 2020 performed exceptionally well at the Billboard chart.

According to Celebrity Net Worth site, in 2018, the rapper cracked a whopping $30million deal which was revealed in one of his songs from his 2018 mixtape 'Bobby Tarantino II' and according to BBC, he scored another exclusive deal with the music streaming site Twitch just at the time of his retirement.

At the time of the deal, he told The Verge, "I'm not this rapper guy, man. I'm just a nerd. I love video games. I'm going to bring new eyes to their service, they're going to bring new money to my bank account, and — I'm just kidding. I'm not going to be on Twitch, having political debates. I'm going to be on Twitch, helping people after they've had a day of protesting or political debates, unwind and laugh and smile."

Logic also runs his YouTube channel and hence, pockets good amount of money from there as well.

Coming to his personal luxurious expenses, Logic shelled out $3.57 million to buy a house in Calabasas, California, according to a report by Celebrity Net Worth website just a few months after filing for divorce from his first wife. He then got married to Brittney Noell in September 2019 and he recently had his first child which was also one of the major reasons to retire from hip-hop as he wanted to focus on fatherhood.
