Logan Paul vs Ricochet: Vince Russo blasts WWE superstars, asks 'are you a wrestler or a circus clown?'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The past few weeks have seen a feud between WWE wrestlers Logan Paul and Ricochet. This week, they met on the red brand show, where the former US Champion challenged the social media powerhouse to a match. However, Paul declined the challenge, which was followed by both men tossing their hands in the air.
However, amid all if this, Former WWE head writer Vince Russo seems not to be impressed with the ongoing segment between Ricochet and Logan Paul on this week's RAW. Let's have a look on what Russo said.
'Are you a wrestler, bro, or are you a circus clown?'
On this week's RAW, Vince Russo, the professional wrestling booker smacked Ricochet's high-flying spot, saying that WWE is a wrestling company and he wants to watch the star engage in some ground-level wrestling. He said, "Last time I looked at the WWE they were a wrestling company. Are you a wrestler, bro, or are you a circus clown? Are you an acrobat? Are you a circus soleil performer? How about Ricochet, since this is a wrestling company? How about you have a match with me when you can't leave your feet? Let's see if you are a wrestler, this is the World Wrestling Entertainment so I would love to see that promo."
'Maverick is not an original'
Not only this but, Russo even questioned WWE's decision to refer to Logan Paul as "Maverick." In a short period of time, Logan Paul has done a great job of making a reputation for himself in the WWE. The social media superstar has performed admirably in each of his trips to the squared circle, where throughout his brief tenure, he has battled legendary figures like Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins. The fact that the WWE commentary team frequently referred to Logan Paul as "The Maverick" upset Vince Russo. In the same conversation, the professional wrestler pointed out that Logan Paul is unquestionably neither Tom Cruse nor his renowned film "Top Gun," with which "Maverick" is typically connected.
Ross said, "The Irish announcer whose name I still don't know. Somebody came up with, 'We're gonna call Logan Paul, The Maverick.' This guy first of all when you say 'Maverick,'veverybody and their mother and their aunt Tilly thinks of Tom Cruise in Top Gun. So come up with something original, Maverick is not an original. So it questions me, has Vince McMahon ever seen a Top Gun? Does Vince McMahon know that Tom Cruise played a character Maverick?"
