The death of George Floyd has sparked massive unrest all across the United States and celebrities are raising their voice against systemic racism. Amid all the protests, YouTuber Logan Paul shared a clip of his speech on Twitter from his new hour-long IMPAULSIVE podcast, which begins with "America is racist!" In an impassioned tone, he says, "Listen closely. One of my biggest learnings from all of this and I am embarrassed that it has taken me 25 years to realize this: It is not enough to be 'not racist'. You have to be anti-racist."

"Condemn those who feign superiority because of the color of their skin. Friends... Hold friends accountable. Hold your family accountable. Hold yourself accountable," he added. "And most importantly, we must hold our authorities accountable — police officers, politicians, policy makers.

His tweet soon went viral with more than 40,000 retweets and 150,000 likes at the time of writing. When several Twitter users tried to slam him saying, "This guy is srsly reading a script?" Logan responded, "I wrote it on my laptop, I read it on my laptop. the only difference between this and your favorite news outlet or talk show is that our studio hasn’t been optimized with a teleprompter. God, strike me down lol."

Since then, his speech has gone viral with many people going gaga over his words. "Bro LOGAN PAUL is more intelligent, AND a better public speaker than THE PRESIDENT. What the f**k," one posted and another said, "At this moment I believe Logan Paul will be a better POTUS than @realDonaldTrump." One wrote, "You know 2020 is a** backward when Logan Paul makes a better statement than 99% of your favorite celebrities."

Many viewers were shocked that they agree with him. "Never thought I'd agree and support something said by Logan Paul but here we are," one tweet read and another said, "Who knew Logan Paul could actually say something that I agree with. And wow this speaks truth. Spread the word: racism exists and we need to EVOLVE." One said, "Is Logan Paul having the best character arc of 2020? I believe so because I am actually agreeing with him."

His speech comes after his brother Jake Paul was spotted allegedly looting from a shopping mall in Arizona during a George Floyd protest. Defending himself, Paul released an official statement on Twitter. "To be absolutely clear, neither I nor anyone in our group was engaged in any looting or vandalism. We filmed everything we saw in an effort to share our experience and bring more attention to the anger felt in every neighborhood we traveled through; we were strictly documenting, not engaging."

Logan also defended his brother in his podcast saying, "Why he was inside of a mall that was being looted, I have no idea. I talked to him on the phone, he was at a dinner that was next to the mall. It was very unfortunate but very on-brand for Jake Paul to magically be seen at a looting site," and added, "Here's what I will say, and I feel like this goes without saying. While I condemn that he was at a looting site and stuck around long enough for videos to be taken to make it look like he was kinda hanging out, you are a f**king moron if you think my brother was actively participating in looting."

Some put him in the same category as his brother but still stood up for him. "I mean Logan Paul is showing some promise rn with his recent takes on BLM but Jake Paul is disgustingly taking advantage of the whole situation by looting despite him being a multi-millionaire lol," one posted and another said, "I've seen Logan Paul actually somewhat redeem himself. Meanwhile, I've seen Jake Paul just dig himself a bigger hole."

Many Twitter users openly admitted that while they didn't like Logan, they agreed with his statement. "I still don't personally like Logan Paul but it’s real important that people like him with young, impressionable audiences say something about what’s going on especially since audiences like his tend to be those uneducated privileged kids who don’t take time to understand things," one posted and another said, "As much as I don't like Logan Paul and all the things he has done, this is a must watch. #BlackLivesMatter."
