Lizzo twerks to own song wearing strategically cut dress at Lakers vs Minnesota Timberwolves game
Lizzo proved that she can make headlines wherever she goes. While sitting court-side for the Los Angeles Lakers vs. Minnesota Timberwolves game on Sunday night, December 8, she started twerking, flashing her voluptuous buttocks in a black thong.
Till the 31-year-old started grooving to the Laker Girls' performance of her song “Juice,” the television viewers had no idea that she was wearing a cut-out t-shirt dress that showed off her entire backside. She paired the dress with a pair of fishnet tights and a black thong, which was in full display when she started to twerk.
The crowd in the stadium went wild and started cheering once Lizzo dropped it low for the chorus. The moment was captured and shared on Twitter. While many social media users applauded Lizzo for her bold choice of outfit, a Jezebel article slammed the artist's dress as unhygienic.
"Here’s the truth: the dress is a cool, good, fun look," Maria Sherman, the article's author, said. "She should be able to trot around with her butt out at a family-friendly event; Americans could stand to be less prudish. However, I cannot stop thinking about her exposed a— and... other sensitive areas... sitting on a stadium seat. That s— is so gross! Maybe she placed a jacket underneath her booty?"
Later in the day, she told Fox Sports in an interview that she had her eyes on a particular Minnesota player - Timberwolves’ Karl-Anthony Towns. “Both teams are great. I’m personally cheering for No. 32,” she said. “That’s my baby!”
Lizzo admitted that she had never met Towns, 24, and also hilariously sang a remixed version of 'Truth Hurts' adding, “New man on the Minnesota Timberwolves!” - a caption used by the official Twitter account of the Timberwolves to poke fun at Lizzo's adoration for Towns.
After their post - which contained a clip of Towns' interview - went up, Lizzo retweeted the post with a drooling emoji on her own social media account. The basketball player is yet to respond to Lizzo's confession of liking him.
