Lizzo took to social media to strip down to her lingerie and share a message about body positivity and mental health amid the lockdown triggered by coronavirus pandemic.

The singer, rapper, and actress, 31, uploaded a video of herself in lacy black lingerie on Instagram and encouraged all her fans to love themselves even though the pandemic meant they could not go about their usual routines.

In the video, which has been viewed more than 3.6 million times, Lizzo twirls around and shows off her ample derriere.

"It’s been a long a** day," she wrote in the caption. "Focus on a body part you don’t like about yourself and show it some love today [sic]."

Lizzo went on to share that she was one of many who had been affected by the lockdown and implored her 8.6 million followers to take care of their mental health.

"This quarantine has a lot of people suffering from mental health issues because we can’t get out and do our normal coping/self-care routines..." she added. "Self hatred was starting to creep up on me but I gotta remember I’m 110% that bitch, love you! [sic]."

Some people were not impressed with the video and said in the comment section that her weight was unhealthy for her.

"I am on the big side and this is absolutely disgusting," one user wrote.

"I have no problem with her size but have some self-respect and you're not being a very good role model for younger girls your size and everyday damn day," a second commented.

"You should’ve gotten it together when you Dropped through Puff Daddy’s table and he told you that you need to stop working last week," another said. "Girl stop. It is over. Girl you need to get a jump rope and work some and it off."

Most of her followers, however, were supportive of Lizzo and pointed out that the singer had never tried to talk about weight in the post.

"This message is amazing. Never once did Lizzo say you need to be thin or you need to be heavy. She said LOVE yourself. That is always a good statement whether you're trying the lose weight, trying to gain weight, or happy with your size. Loving yourself is always more healthy than self-loathing," one commented.

"Amazing how it doesn't matter if another celebrity uploads stuff like this, but as soon some one from the plus size community does it's all about 'this is innapropiate' or 'show yourself some respect' or 'your body should be private,'" another wrote.

"Lizzo, I dont know if you will see this but you make me feel so confident in my curves," a third gushed. " was constantly bullied for my curves and then when it became "okay" to be curvy it hurt me even more because Suddenly when it was hot to have curves I was noticed. But I have become so confident in myself and loving who I am no matter what a man says. I love you and thank You."
