Lizzo's feelin' good as hell and she doesn't need to be called courageous for embracing her body. In an interview with Glamor, the 'Truth Hurts' singer slammed the hypocrisy surrounding women's bodies, saying that she's not "brave" for being herself. People have been talking about her stage performances and praising her for her 'confidence' in herself and most of them sound surprised since she is a plus-size woman who creates her own path.

"When people look at my body and be like, 'Oh my God, she's so brave,' it's like, 'No, I'm not,'" Lizzo, 31, said. "I'm just fine. I'm just me. I'm just sexy. If you saw Anne Hathaway in a bikini on a billboard, you wouldn't call her brave. I just think there's a double standard when it comes to women." She added, "I don't like it when people think it's hard for me to see myself as beautiful. I don't like it when people are shocked that I'm doing it." Lizzo, has become the face of the body positivity movement and has appeared in Urban Decay campaigns and more recently the Absolut Vodka's new Juice line campaign. She credited social media partially for really pushing the representation of all kinds of beautiful.

"Back in the day, all you really had were the modeling agencies," Lizzo said, "I think that's why it made everything so limited for what was considered beautiful. It was controlled from this one space. But now we have the internet. So if you want to see somebody who's beautiful who looks like you, go on the internet and just type something in. Type in blue hair. Type in thick thighs. Type in back fat. You'll find yourself reflected. That's what I did to help find the beauty in myself."

Lizzo, who recently walked the VMAs red carpet, totally killed it in a red and white custom Moschino, landed on probably every best-dressed list out there. She paired the sweetheart neckline bright red dress with the word "siren" adorning it with a matching red boa and some serious bling. She performed her smash hits 'Truth Hurts' and 'Good As Hell' on stage and went to share an emotional Instagram post, post-performance.

"Every woman on that stage had a story of either why they shouldn’t have been on that stage or why they didn’t believe they deserved to be on that stage, including myself. Imposter syndrome is a privilege to the most marginalized group in America," she wrote. "Not only were we taught to believe we didn’t belong in the spotlight, but when we finally get to a place to self-worth the world tries to knock us down. Not this time. The world smiled with us. The world sang us. The world saw our beauty last night. The world saw black women feeling Good As Hell and cheered us on."
