Did Lizzo 'sexually objectify' Chris Evans? Truth behind singer's flirty DM to the actor as fans call her out

Melissa Viviane Jefferson aka Lizzo might be a global superstar but at the end of the day, she's no different from the rest of us mere mortals. 'The Truth Hurts' singer recently took to her TikTok to reveal a hilarious direct message she sent to Chris Evans on Instagram.

The 32-year-old's TikTok clip featured the DM window behind her head which revealed the message she sent to the 'Avengers' star. An emoji of dashing away, a woman playing handball, and basketball emojis were sent by the singer. She hilariously captioned her TikTok video with, "Don't drink and DM, kids.... for legal porpoises this is a joke," suggesting that she was high on alcohol when she was shooting her shot at Chris.

The clip ended with Lizzo lip-syncing to TikTok audio by Tatayanna Mitchell. She says, "The reason I'm upset about this one is that I know I'm not gonna be able to marry him, and honestly, it hurts me to the core. Because damn papa, he a rare breed, no comparing. Like, Chris..." 

Although Lizzo was just being her playful self and joking around, some on the Internet didn't take to her drunken text to Chris very kindly. They felt that Lizzo was 'sexually objectifying and harassing' Chris. A user tweeted, "Chris Evans, If You're Reading This, Please Answer Lizzo's direct message in which she sexually objectifies you even though you doing the same to a woman would result in the media killing your career in a heartbeat" We love to talk about unfair power dynamics after all." Another user wrote, "Bravery ? You mean "sexual harassment" ?"

Fortunately for Lizzo, a few other fans felt that her drunken flirty text was cute and played along with her. A  user commented, "Lizzo sending a drunk dm to chris evans and him following her back and responding is so f***ing funny." "Chris Evans & Lizzo is something I didn’t know I needed but now I’m deeply invested," declared a user. Another user shared, "This weekend was redeemed by a this lizzo and chris evans interaction."

Chris responded to Lizzo's drunken Dm by following her on Instagram and leaving a flirty comment which suggested that he didn't mind the singer's DM. He wrote, " "No shame in a drunk DM," alongside a kiss-face emoji. "God knows I've done worse on this app." Well, that seems to clear the air about the singer objectifying the handsome hunk. In September 2020, the 'Captain America' star accidentally ended up posting a black & white d*** pic on his Instagram story.

However, this isn't the first time that Lizzo expressed her interest in the Hollywood hunk. In 2019, she posted a childhood picture of herself on Twitter. She captioned it with, "rare footage of me as a child." When Chris came across it he praised Lizzo with, "This kid is cooler than I could ever hope to be." The three-time Grammy winner immediately responded with a "Marry me" comment. 

Currently, both Chris and Lizzo are single and we can't wait to see what happens next between these two talented stars.
