WHO WORE IT BEST? Lizzo sizzles on Elle UK cover in Kim Kardashian's Balenciaga tape suit
Lizzo, 34, wore a replica of Kim Kardashian's Balenciaga tape suit from Paris Fashion Week for the cover of Elle UK's September 2022 issue. The singer looked stunning in the caution tape suit on the magazine cover as she shared a picture on her Instagram account.
Lizzo also uploaded a hysterical Instagram video on Wednesday, July 19, in which she tried to recreate her popular 'About Damn Time' TikTok performance while wearing the tape suit, thereby giving her followers a behind-the-scenes glimpse of her photoshoot.

Lizzo may have used the Balenciaga tape to grace the cover of Elle UK, but Kardashian, 41, featured in the same suit earlier this year.
In March, the KUWTK star wore the ensemble to see the Balenciaga Winter '22 presentation, which showcased its 360° collection. The conflict in Ukraine was also mentioned in the show.
Demna Gvasalia, the creative director of Balenciaga and a refugee from the Georgian Civil War, stood alongside Kardashian while sporting a garment that matched the Ukrainian flag.
Gvasalia, 41, wrote in a statement about the show on social media, "The war in Ukraine has triggered the pain of a past trauma I have carried in me since 1993 when the same thing happened in my home country and I became a forever refugee."
"Forever, because that's something that stays in you. The fear, the desperation, the realization that no one wants you. But I also realized what really matters in life, the most important things, like life itself and human love and compassion," Gvasalia added.
On Wednesday, Lizzo shared several images from her Elle UK cover story on Twitter.

“I had to remember, when we come out of lockdown, people are going to be coming out of a depression. And the end of lockdown does not signify the end of their mental-health struggles. So I wanted to make music that people can use as a soundtrack to survive” - @ELLEUK pic.twitter.com/qnqReW1eXD

The singer spoke candidly in her interview with Elle about her forthcoming endeavors, her apparel line 'Yitty', and her usage of social media to encourage her fans. "I don't need social media, social media needs me. Social media literally needs people to function. I don't need to go on the internet and feel better about stuff anymore. I have a therapist. I have best friends. I have an amazing team around me who I can talk to. I got love," she told Elle UK.
