DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES: Kanye West reportedly wants to buy out Lil Durk's contract from his current record label. Citing sources close to West, TMZ on November 27 reported that the rapper is trying to negotiate with Durk's label, Alamo Records.

Sources claim that the 46-year-old rapper decided to "free" the hip-hop artist after the label stopped a collaboration between the two.

Allegations suggest that Todd Moscowitz, the label's CEO, refused to grant clearance for another song that Durk had worked on for Kanye's upcoming album.

The song was widely criticized for its profane antisemitic lyrics like "How am I antisemitic? I just f***ed a Jewish b****."

West's attempt to relieve Durk from being beholden to Alamo Records came after the latter's verse was removed from the final version of 'Vultures', which was released on streaming platforms on November 22.

The initial version played on the Chicago radio had featured Durk. It remains unclear why the verse was left off, whether it is a creative choice or an issue with the label.

However, according to Daily Mail, West started exploring ways to buy out the young rapper because of "Moscowitz's decision to block Durk's verse on West's upcoming song."
