Florence Pugh shuts down online trolls who called beau Zach Braff 'too old' with savage response
Florence Pugh and Zach Braff sort of made their relationship official when they were spotted hand in hand strolling in New York City earlier this month. And now, the couple's PDA has moved to social media platforms and that is not being so well-received by a few.
On Saturday, December 28, the 'Little Women' actress took to her Instagram after a long flight to share a photo of herself, captioning it, "First pit-stop, Matzo Ball soup," she wrote, adding the hashtag "#curingjetlag101."
Braff was the first to comment under the actress' picture with a princess emoticon. Although his response to his lady's post was adorable, what followed was a series of mean and merciless comments by trolls who seem to be too bothered with their distinct age gap.
While Pugh is 23 years old, Braff is 44. The age gap between the new couple soon became the target and most-discussed topic under the actress' latest post.
While one of the comments addressed to Braff read, "which 22 year old are you gonna go for next once Florence gets too old for you?, another stated, "Definitely stand up for old men's right to bang children. Good for you."
However, Pugh wouldn't stay mum and let the hatred get in the way of her budding relationship. Responding to one of the hate comments, she wrote, "and yet he got it."
Backing her up a fan wrote, "lol! Yes, age is just a number and as long as you're both happy and healthy it's no one's business." Another fan commented, "lmao since when is a 23 year old legal and consenting adult considered a child? you need help" extending their support for the actress.
Pugh and Braff haven't openly spoken about their alleged relationship yet. During the 'Little Women' premiere, they were spotted separately and similarly during their appearance on the 'Marriage Story' red carpet as well.
