Will Little Mix split? Members may head for solo careers post Jesy Nelson controversy
British girl band Little Mix has been the center of attention for quite some time mainly due to their cold war with former member Jesy Nelson who quit the group in December 2020. While it is being rumored that the trio namely Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Perrie Edwards and Jade Thirlwall are planning a diss track in the form of ‘Cut You Off’, it is now being reported that the all-girl squad might split and steer towards respective solo careers.
According to The Sun, Leigh-Anne, Perrie, and Jade might be on their own after wrapping up their 2022 tour. If the report shared by the publication is to be believed, the remaining members will announce their split in mid-November with an intention to pursue solo careers. Little Mix is currently embroiled in a drama between them and Jesy after the latter apparently blocked them after the blackfishing fiasco. Jesy Nelson embarked on a solo journey after citing mental health issues. She recently dropped her solo debut single called ‘Boyz’ featuring Nicki Minaj on the guest vocals.

Will Little Mix split?
Sources close to the all-girl band have spilled the beans on their fate revealing that the trio will probably announce the split in mid-November. One insider shared, “There has been a lot of speculation about the future of Little Mix but it is now very clear that the end of the road has been reached. A date is set to announce the split. The upcoming tour is going to be a farewell to their fans”, as reported by The Sun. The big revelation comes after a week of mud-slinging on social media.
According to industry sources, the trio is in talks with new management and recording deals. Shedding light on the same, one source shared, “They’ve been pretty open with each other about it. There are a lot of meetings happening at the moment. Some of them have already done management deals. Leigh-Anne has signed up with Dua Lipa’s manager, Jade is cutting her teeth as a songwriter and presenter, while Perrie is working on other things too.” The source continued, “They still get on great, despite everything that has happened with Jesy. But her departure put the cat among the pigeons. They all know there will have to be a career beyond Little Mix, so they’ve put things in place. The plan is to see out commitments, then turn to solo projects almost immediately.” The source concluded, “The intention is to keep the band going too-but that’s how One Direction ended and it’s hard to believe they will have time for everything.”
What is Jesy Nelson and Little Mix beef all about?
Jesy Nelson had quit Little Mix in December 2020 citing mental health issues. She then most recently dropped her debut solo single ‘Boyz’ for which she got accused of blackfishing. It was then reported that the members of Little Mix had unfollowed Jesy after the song’s release when Leigh-Anne claimed that it was Jesy who blocked them and not the other way round.
Leigh-Anne reportedly divulged these details while replying to TikToker named NoHun who then shared a screenshot on Twitter where the former dubbed Jesy as a “horrible person.” However, the credibility of the screenshot has not been verified yet. Nicki Minaj jumped into the fray with an intention to extend her support to Jesy. Nicki claimed that Leigh-Anne was a clown and the female emcee had also deleted a comment on TikTok where she called Anne’s fans “bully.” Jesy Nelson, on the other hand, has been very open about her mental health issues and the trauma she faced when she was part of the group.
