'Little Fires Everywhere' actor Joshua Jackson and 'Queen and Slim' actor Jodie Turner-Smith have welcomed their first child, a baby girl. It was confirmed that the couple had tied the knot in December.

According to a report in People, a representative was quoted as saying, "Both mother and baby are happy and healthy." Turner-Smith had also shared a post about motherhood and her journey with it on her social media handle along with a picture of herself posing in the nude recently. The caption that she posted read, "moth·er/ˈməT͟Hər/: a fantastic voyage that begins in wonder and transformation. Thank you @fancygomez for capturing a small piece of this portion of the journey. I will never forget how this felt and now won’t soon forget how it looked #FrankieMark #JodieByFrankieMark."

The couple spent some quality time ahead of the due date by watching Jackson's show. He posted on Twitter about how he and Turner-Smith had settled in to watch the penultimate episode of 'Little Fires Everywhere' and how she was already "livid" at the "cold open" of the show's episode.

Speaking about the nearing due date to 'Good Morning America', Jackson had said, "Obviously, it’s a bit stressful right now and we’re just trying to figure out how to be smart about being quarantined. The medical system right now is a little bit difficult, so we’re figuring it out day by day."

Before the birth of the baby he had said, "But she’s healthy and the baby’s healthy, so that’s important." In the same interview, he also revealed that his co-stars in 'Little Fires Everywhere' -- Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington -- had given him helpful parenting advice when the three had worked together on the show. Jackson said, "Both of them were incredibly helpful," and added, "Both of them are not just actresses, but they run their own companies. They’re both mothers. They’ve integrated their family life and their professional life in a way that seems very healthy."

The last episode of Jackson's show, 'Little Fires Everywhere', is scheduled to release on Hulu on Wednesday.
