Lisa Marie Presley is said to be "doubly devastated" over the recent suicide of her son, Benjamin Keough, as well as the death of John Travolta's wife Kelly Preston, with whom she had been close via the Church of Scientology.

Ben, the 27-year-old grandson of the 'King of Rock and Roll' Elvis Presley, and the son of Lisa and musician Danny Keough was found dead of a "self-inflicted gunshot wound" at the family's Calabasas, California, home on Sunday, July 12.

In a statement, Roger Widynowski, Lisa's manager, said, "She is completely heartbroken, inconsolable and doubly devastated but trying to stay strong for her 11-year-old twins and her oldest daughter Riley. She adored that boy. He was the love of her life."

The Sun is now reporting that Lisa is also coming to terms with the death of Preston, who passed away following a two-year battle with breast cancer earlier this same week. Lisa was said to have been "very close" to Preston through the Church of Scientology and had remained friends with her even after the former left the church.

"Kelly's death has been a double blow for Lisa, they weren’t close in recent years and she kept her cancer battle private, but she was good friends with Kelly and John," a source told the outlet. "They were all very close in Scientology, they hung out together with their children, even vacationed together, and Lisa was a big support for them after their son's death."

Lisa's daughter Riley Keough, who is known for featuring in a series of films including, ‘The Lodge’, ‘Under the Silver Lake’, ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ and ‘American Honey,' is also "cut up" about Preston's death, the source said, adding, "It's a lot for one family to deal with."

An autopsy conducted by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's Office ruled Ben's cause of death as an "intraoral shotgun wound" and the manner of death as "suicide," with it also being revealed that the 27-year-old was not supposed to be at the home when he killed himself.

Sources said Lisa, Ben, and her twins Harper and Finley, 11, were living in a hotel after having recently moved out of their $1.8million home due to a mold problem. However, at one point, Ben went back to the property.

"Ben went back and stayed at the house over the weekend," a family insider shared. "He shouldn't have been there, but it seems he wanted to get away. Lisa was at the hotel when she got the call, she's distraught obviously, Ben was her life."

While it is still unclear why Ben ended his life, the family insider said he was depressed because he didn't have an education, a job, or a passion, and was tired of living in his grandfather's shadow.

"There has also been a lot of drama in the family in recent years, I think it was all just too much for him," the insider opined. "It's unbelievable. It's heartbreaking. Ben was a force, an amazing kid. As far as people knew he wasn't into drugs, and didn't drink that much, but he was dealing with mental health issues. His girlfriend found him. It must have been shocking for her."

The family is also said to be afraid that Lisa, who had previously shared her battle with opioid addiction, would spiral into drugs again. "Ben was Lisa's whole world, everyone is now panicked she will go off the rails," a source said. "Lisa's children are with her, she's grieving, it’s horrendous, and they can’t go back to the house."
