Olympian Lindsey Vonn gives fiancé PK Subban an engagement ring for Christmas 4 months after he proposed
Around four months after NHL star PK Subban, 34, proposed to Lindsey Vonn, she reciprocated the deed with an engagement ring that she gifted him for Christmas.
Vonn, 34, and Subban had got engaged in August, but she decided to wait until Christmas Day to surprise her fiance. Vonn, who is believed to be one of the best skiers of all time, also took to social media to share an adorable picture of the happy pair and their three dogs in front of the Christmas tree.
Vonn captioned the image, "Merry Christmas and happy holidays everyone!! On our 2 year anniversary I returned the favor and asked PK to marry me... and he said yes. We talk about equality but actions speak louder than words. Men should get engagement rings too and this is what PK deserves."
She concluded the post, saying "Can’t wait to marry you babe" and added a heart emoji along with the hashtags '#merrychristmas #happyanniversary #equality #raisethebar'. The couple were seen sporting matching rainbow-striped pajamas with Subban showing off his new gold ring that featured a black stone in the middle.
Subban also took to his Instagram to share a close-up shot of the ring and had captioned it "Drip Drip" along with a teardrop emoji. The pair had opened up about their engagement in Vogue in August where it was revealed that they met at the ESPYs two years ago.
"After a few months of dating, I knew he was the one I wanted to be with, though. He makes me happy, and he’s so positive and energetic," Vonn had shared.
"I knew that I was all in. I didn’t know I would get married or engaged, but I knew that she had the potential to be the person whom I could spend the rest of my life with," Subban revealed.
