Lindsay Lohan says Cody Simpson 'settled for less' by dating Miley Cyrus after splitting with her sister Aliana: 'You lost on your future'
Lindsay Lohan launched an attack on Miley Cyrus saying Cody Simpson, her sister Aliana's ex, had downgraded himself by romancing the Wrecking Ball hitmaker.
The 33-year-old Masked Singer judge threw shade at the new couple in an Instagram post saying the Australian sensation had "settled for less" by dating Cyrus, E! News reports.
Earlier this month, 26-year-old Miley began seeing Cody just days after splitting from Kaitlynn Carter, prior to which she separated from husband Liam Hemsworth in August.
Meanwhile, Cody had briefly dated 25-year-old Aliana Lohan, Lindsay's younger sister, in 2018. He was recently crowned the winner of the Australian version of The Masked Singer.
Lindsay made it evident she was clearly unhappy with Cody's new choice of partner after breaking up with her sibling. In a scathing attack at the pair, the Mean Girls star shared an old picture of Cody and Ali together when they were in a relationship.
"When you realize you failed. And you settle for less @codysimpson family is everything you won the masked singer but you lost on your future", she wrote in the caption.
That said, this is barely the first time Lindsay hit out at Cody. She recently confronted him after he was unmasked as The Robot during the finale of the Masked Singer.
Lindsay had reportedly furnished the Australian popstar's home in Los Angeles when he was dating her sister. After they broke up, the Hollywood actress had allegedly left him baffled by asking him when he was going to "return" the furniture.
Jackie 'O' Henderson, an Australian radio host and Lindsay's fellow Masked Singer judge, later revealed what really happened during their confrontation.
"So Lindsay bought them a house load of furniture. And then, as soon as they moved in, according to Lindsay, he split up with Ali. And then I think Ali moved out", she said. "Maybe [Lindsay] had just told Ali, and Cody had no idea where the furniture had come from."
Having said that, Miley and Cody's unabashed public display of affection has been grabbing headlines since they were first spotted early October kissing each other in Los Angeles, just two months after she split from husband Liam Hemsworth.
