Amid the controversy brewing over the leaked audiotapes purportedly containing conversations between actor Johnny Depp and his former wife Amber Heard, it has come to light that his daughter Lily-Rose Depp never lost faith on him and rallied behind him even after the 'Aquaman' actress filed restraining order against him four years ago.

Shortly after Amber filed for the restraining order in 2016 claiming that her the-then estranged husband had hit her and thrown an iPhone on her face during one of their heated fights and that she was scared for her life, Lily-Rose took to Instagram and shared an adorable throwback photo of herself with her dad. The snap showed the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' star assisting her as she learned to walk.

“My dad is the sweetest, most loving person I know. He’s been nothing but a wonderful father to my little brother and me, and everyone who knows him would say the same,” Lily-Rose captioned the picture.

Lily-Rose was not the only vocal supporter of Johnny at the time. Even his ex-wife and Lily-Rose's mother, Vanessa Paradis, penned a handwritten letter, which was obtained by TMZ. In the letter, she insisted that her ex-husband never hurt anyone and was a gentle and loving person.

"Johnny Depp is the father of my two children. He is a sensitive, loving, and loved person. I believe with all my heart that the recent allegations being made against him are outrageous. In all the years I have known him, he has never been abusive with me and this looks nothing like the man I lived with for 14 wonderful years," she wrote in the letter.

Even back then, there were inconsistencies with Amber's claim that she was a domestic abuse victim. For one, there was no evidence of injury or crime, according to the police report. Amber never went to a doctor or hospital. Furthermore, Amber also did not file a police report against Johnny for his alleged attack.

When the police showed up at their house during one of their fights, Amber simply told the first responders that she was having an argument with her husband. Since there was no mention of Johnny physically assaulting her, the police left the scene shortly after. Days later, however, the actress appeared to be sporting bruises all over her body from the alleged attacks she claimed were inflicted by her husband, which wasn’t there before.

In audio recordings of phone conversations between Johnny and Amber, obtained by Daily Mail, the latter was heard admitting to the fact that she was the one who abused her husband and not the other way around, even daring him in one of them to go public with the theory that he, as a man was the abused. "See how many people believe you," she said.
