Lily James splits from rockstar BF Michael Shuman after 2-year whirlwind romance
LONDON, UK: Lily James and her rock star boyfriend Michael Shuman have reportedly split after a two-year relationship. The actress, 33, and the musician, 37, have ended their relationship after growing apart in recent months.
The couple was first snapped together outside a boutique hotel on Valentine's Day in 2021, when James was filming 'What's Love Got To Do With It?' They made their red carpet debut at the Oscars 2022, looking in love as ever.

'They just couldn’t make it work as a couple'
"Lily and Michael have grown apart in recent months and have now decided to end their relationship. They just couldn’t make it work as a couple, but they both wish each other the best for the future," sources told The Sun.
Fans of the actress were originally shocked to learn that James was dating Shuman because the former is known for her family-friendly roles in 'Downton Abbey,' 'Cinderella,' 'Baby Driver' and 'Mamma Mia,' while Shuman is a band member of 'Queens Of The Stone Age,' which is well-known for its on-stage nudity and allegations of drug and alcohol abuse.
James, who played Pamela Anderson in the series 'Pam and Tommy,' grew close to Shuman after they stayed together while she was shooting for her rom-com movie 'What’s Love Got To Do With It?' in 2021, after which she invited him to move in together at her $3.6 million London home. A month later, the couple was seen holding hands while visiting Shuman's parents in Los Angeles.
The couple were last photographed together in August 2022, looking at homes in North London with James' mother Ninette Thomson. However, James spent the past week in the Maldives after traveling there with his close friend and fellow actress Gala Gordon, 31, who plays Christine Keeler in 'The Crown.'
