'Blasphemy': Lily Allen fans furious after she's referred to as ‘David Harbour’s wife’
Lily Allen's followers were incensed when she was referred to merely as "David Harbour's wife" on social media. In a now-viral TikTok video, the song 'Smile' by Allen is playing as the words “Y’all I just found out that David Harbour’s wife sings this song.” appear on the screen. This video infuriated Allen's fans, who vented their ire on Twitter.
The couple, who got married in 2020, have both established profitable careers in the entertainment business. Allen has a string of chart hits and mega-tours under her belt while her spouse David Harbour has a CV full of memorable roles as an actor, which unsurprisingly includes his role as Jim Hopper in superhit Netflix show 'Stranger Things'. But it appears that despite her extensive musical career, Gen Z TikTokers are unfamiliar with the 'F**k You' singer. Allen and Harbour began dating in 2019, and on September 7, 2020, they were married in a Las Vegas ceremony supervised by an Elvis impersonator. Ladbible reported, that Harbour said that they first connected on a dating app while he was filming in the UK.

Speaking to GQ Hype, the 47-year-old Harbour said: "I was in London alone, doing Black Widow, on this app, going on dates and stuff. And yeah, I started texting with her, she was in Italy at the time — we got together, went on a date at The Wolseley, and it was, you know, she's f***ing unbelievable." He continued: "She claims to have fallen in love at first sight with me — I mean, who wouldn't? I remember the exact moment. It was our third date. I was just in this phase, where I was like, I'm just going to be brutally honest about everything, because why lie? And I told her something about my life, about my beliefs. It would take a really extraordinary person to be accepting of the things that I said. And I remember thinking: 'Wow, that's somebody I want to be around'."
After the TikTok video went viral, Allen's fans were understandably unhappy that she was only being referred to as "David Harbour's wife" when she is a successful artist with plenty of accolades to her name. One fan posted a screen grab of the video on Twitter with the caption, “Lily Allen has given us so much... these kids need an EDUCATION.” Another added: “Lily Allen didn’t rhyme Tesco with Alfresco just for you people to refer to her as 'David Harbour’s wife'. It’s blasphemy." A third user fumed: “Lily Allen did not go that hard on ‘Hard Out Here’ just to be called someone’s wife.”

Allen and her former spouse Sam Cooper, whom she wed in 2011, have two kids together: Ethel and Marnie. Harbour told Jimmy Kimmel that marrying Allen was mostly influenced by his stepdaughters.
