Rapper Lil Wayne’s political stand seems to have taken a toll on his personal life. On November 3, it was reported that his girlfriend and model Denise Bidot broke up with him after he publicly endorsed President Donald Trump. Now it is reported by several media outlets that both have unfollowed each other on Instagram and Denise has even deleted her account.

However, an inside source reportedly told The Neighborhood Talk it was actually the rapper who dumped his girlfriend first, Hip Hop DX reported. As per the publication, the timeline of events goes like this: as per a reported text message uploaded to The Neighborhood Talk Instagram account, Bidot shared a picture on November 1 motivating her Instagram followers to vote using the hashtag “#notrumpforme.” She then posted a photo of Wayne to her Instagram Stories and wrote, “Let me be clear, this is my king I love him.”

The text continues as reported by Hip Hop DX, “Wayne saw it (girlfriend’s post) he unfollowed her, she removed the post and then he kicked her out. She had her locations in her bio. She removed those too then posted two things asking God to help her. Then she finally unfollowed him yesterday.”

As the news began to spread on Twitter, Bidot reportedly replied to a tweet that included an article with the headline, ‘Lil Wayne’s Girlfriend Broke Up With Him After He Endorsed Donald Trump.’ She responded to the tweet writing, “I did NOT!” and added, “This is absolutely FALSE.” She also tweeted on November 3 hinting that the year is not good, which many speculate is due to the reported split.

Previously, Wayne had shown his support for Trump with a tweet on October 29. He wrote, “Just had a great meeting with Donald Trump, besides what he’s done so far with criminal reform, the platinum plan is going to give the community real ownership. He listened to what we had to say today and assured he will and can get it done.”

Bidot and Wayne went officially public about their relationship in June this year when several photos of them snuggled up together were revealed by media outlets. However, Bidot recently shared an Instagram post that reportedly read, “Sometimes love just isn’t enough,” making many speculate that they had split. Bidot has since deleted her Instagram account and therefore the message could not be confirmed. Also, it is not yet confirmed who dumped whom, however, HipHopDX reported that it was the rapper who dumped the model girlfriend first. As the news of the break up spread, many gave their two cents on social media.

A user wrote for Denise, "Also Denise Bidot is wealthy in her own right but if she can dump Lil Wayne who’s worth $150 mil for endorsing Trump you can dump Connor from sigma felt a thigh for endorsing Trump. It’s not that hard.” Another wrote on their relationship, “Not Denise Bidot touting being crazy in love with this gremlin lil Wayne 2 mins after he was engaged to the other plus size model, getting shady comments every time she posted him to now have to delete her whole insta and break up with him behind his last littlestunt.”

A user lashed out at Denise, “Lil Wayne ain't s**T but this harpie was looking to gain some clout on this situation. Just break up with him in private attention-seeking females.” Another concurred, “My man @LilTunechi deserve a woman who loves him unconditionally. How you gonna break up over politics? Get yourself a girl from the @GOP.” A user quipped, “I would have thought being Lil Wayne would be enough to break up with him, but hey - I'll take this.”
