Devastated Liam Hemsworth cancels work commitments as he struggles to deal with 'painful' split from Miley Cyrus

Liam Hemsworth has reportedly canceled his appearances for a promotional event for his upcoming film “Killerman” following the nasty split with his singer-wife Miley Cyrus.
The Australian hunk was scheduled for a press junket and premiere screening of the indie action thriller in Los Angeles next week, but has been too 'rocked' by the breakup to attend, the Daily Mail reported.
The actor has taken off to his hometown Byron Bay, Australia following his split from Miley. He is currently at home trying to heal from the painful breakup.
This development comes as a surprise as Liam was very excited about his upcoming thriller movie ‘Killerman’, which shows him playing the role of Moe Diamond, a money launderer, who loses his memory after a car-crash but wakes up with millions of stolen dollars.
The Australian hunk believed that the role would help him to move away from his typical rom-com roles and show the world his acting skills.
According to reports, Miley too had visited the sets of the film and was totally supportive of her husband’s film.
But following their breakup, Liam is so devastated that he isn’t able to focus on his work and felt that he needed time off.
While Liam is in Australia with his family, Miley was last seen in Lake Como with her sister and alleged new girlfriend Kaitlynn Carter.
A picture of the new couple kissing has been doing rounds on the internet, and Liam is said to be deeply upset by it.
The high-profile couple who got married on December 2018, announced their split just within seven months of their marriage.
A representative for Miley shared, “Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time. Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what's best while they both focus on themselves and careers.”
Miley and Liam are holding off on filing for divorce for now and friends believe that they could get back together in the future.
For the past few weeks, Liam reportedly put the movie on the back burner and tried to focus on saving his marriage.
The film, directed by Malik Bader, will be released on August 30.
