Liam Hemsworth's family wants him 'to cut off all contact' with Miley Cyrus fearing couple may rekindle their 'toxic marriage'
Liam Hemsworth's family is reportedly begging him to "cut off all contact" with his ex-wife Miley Cyrus. The family is fearful of the fact that Hemsworth, 29, will get back together with Cyrus, 26, and rekindle their 'toxic marriage'.
As reported by The Sun, the Hemsworth family is extremely worried about the situation. A source shared, "Miley and Liam both keep saying the word 'separated', not 'divorcing', which has his family really worried they're leaving the door open to get back together in the future."
The source further added that the couple's marriage has always been very toxic and they are not really meant to be together. The couple was married for around a year before deciding to split up.
The news of the couple's split was followed by reports that Hemsworth was left 'heartbroken' by recent pictures of Miley kissing Brody Jenner's ex-wife Kaitlynn Carter in Lake Como.
According to a rep for Cyrus, "Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time. Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what's best while they both focus on themselves and careers."
The rep also added that the couple will remain 'dedicated parents' to all their pets while they take some time off. The former couple did not confirm their break up until Saturday though it is believed that they had called off their relationship in June.
According to Page Six, Liam had wanted to have a "normal, settled-down life" while Cyrus seemed to be heading back to her wild ways.
MEAWW had previously reported that post the couple's split, rumors and allegations about drug abuse and infidelity began to circulate. Claims were made that Hemsworth was abusing certain substances while Cyrus was immature.
As reported by TMZ, Cyrus had done everything in her power to save her 7-month-long marriage with Hemsworth. However, she struggled to accept and deal with his heavy drinking habit and drug use. As per reports, Cyrus' own past battle with drug use made Hemsworth's drug use a "deal-breaker".
Meanwhile, a source from Hemsworth's side has told TMZ that the drug allegations made against him are absolutely untrue. The source claimed that it was probably Cyrus' infidelity which resulted in the split.
